I let out a scream as Sunstreaker jumped scared me to death. "Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" I snapped. I wasn't having a good idea and Sunny didn't help. "Are we cranky?" He asked amused. "I am..." I pushed him out of the way and walked off. "Chatty, hold up." The mech blocked my way. "What's sup?" He asked. "I don't want to talk about it, okay?" I passed him. "Chatty, hey. Seriously, this isn't you. Come on, say something." I sighed as Sunny blocked my path once again. "I am just struggling with my private life. My parents mostly. I don't want to saddle you up with it," I mumbled. He brushed a few strands from my face. "You look really tired... why don't you have dinner with me and Sideswipe tonight?"
I quietly agreed. "Yeah, thanks," I mumbled. He pressed a kiss on my cheek before walking off. Many thoughts crossed my minds. He does have a soft spot in his spark, just a shame he doesn't always show it. A smile crept up on my face as I walked off.
That evening, I joined them. "Hi, chatty." Sideswipe wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "How's my favorite human doing?" He chuckled. "Good, thanks." He raised a brow as I freed myself and sat down. "Are you sure?" He asked. I hummed. "She had issues with her parents," Sunstreaker said while chewing. "Really? What's going on?"
"They're disappointed in me. They want me to go to Harvard and enter law school." Sideswipe snorted. "Boring. It's your life. You don't have to do what they want," he scoffed. "I know, but they'll kick me out of the house. "Would they really...?" Sideswipe trailed off. "They're just saying it. They wouldn't throw you out. Everything will be okay," Sunstreaker snorted.
"They already did... I bought a house. I'll He moving in next Friday." They stared at me. "Did they really...?" I hummed. "Mostly my dad though. He's really... you know, I don't have a very close relationship with my father. He was always disappointed in me, no matter what I did. He has done some things that I can't forget but... he's still my father. My mother, she's always been supportive and loving but I feel like she's choosing the side of my dad right now."
"Anyway, how was your training?"
I didn't want to talk about the subject. It was painful and it's not their business. "Good. Don't change the subject that fast, Chatty," Sideswipe said. "I don't want to talk about it. There's nothing to say anyway." Sideswipe sucked in a breath. "I think you should talk about it. It's really upsetting for you," he said. I shrugged, "I can't change it, Sideswipe."
"Isn't there anything we can do?" Sunstreaker asked. "Thanks, but it's fine. I can handle it. Like Sideswipe said, it's my life. I don't necessarily have to go to Harvard, only if I want my parents to be proud." Sunstreaker grumbled something under his breath. "It's sad." I snorted. "Yeah well... it would have happened soon or later. My dad isn't too fond about me. He think I am socially awkward and doesn't want to take me to places because he's ashamed of me."
"Wait... I know you talk a lot and doesn't stop and yeah... you are clumsy but I think it makes you cute." Sideswipe raised a brow, glancing at his twin. "Cute? You just called her cute?" He laughed. Sunny snorted, "how else do I need to describe it?" He snapped back. "Last person I expected to call her cute is you, brother." Sunstreaker ignored his brother. "Thanks..." I blushed end avoided his eyes. Sunstreaker called me cute and that did something to me. After dinner, I headed home, returning to my awaiting parents.
"Honey, please sit down." Mom gestured at the dinning table. I bet she's going to try to talk it out if my head. "Mom, I am tired and not in the mood to argue, okay? Dad was clear, I'll leave," I said. "I don't want you to leave," she said. "I just want to give you a proper future. There are plenty of people out there risking their lives. I get you want to matter but this is ridiculous. You're not build for com rat and I honestly think you'll be much happier entering law school," she said. I snorted and shook my head. "I am not gonna enter law school just because you like it. It's my life and future," I snapped before marching over to my room.
That night, I was barely able to sleep. I woke up by the sound of someone opening my door. "Dad?" Surprised het shocked to see him I sat up straight. Before I could ask what he was doing here at the middle of the night, he started to beat me. Not just once but over and over again until every inch of my body was bruised and my face was swollen. He left without saying anything else. I was in so much pain that I couldn't even cry or ask for help. All I could do was lay still.
Why hadn't my mom done anything to help me? Why did my dad do it in the first place. I was in too much pain to cry but my heart was. It had shattered in thousands of pieces. I passed out for some hours. When I woke up, the sun just started to rise. Slowly, I tried to move but hissed in pain and laid back down on the cold wooden floor. My mom still hadn't showed up. Now I needed her, she wasn't there for me. I heard footsteps nearing my door and halted. I knew instantly it was my mother but she left. Shortly after, I heard the door front shut twice. Meaning my parents had left.
Blood oozed from the wounds. I reached for my phone on the night stand. I could finally use Ratchet number for something useful. I called him and out the phone and speaker. "Paige?" He sighed. "I swear, if this is about Sunstreaker again—" I cut him off. "No, it's not about him," I said. "Are you okay? You sound really upset," Ratchet said. "H-he hurt me. I am loosing blood and I am scared—" Ratchet cut me off. "Who hurt you?" He asked. I didn't respond to that question. "Can you help me?" I asked. "I'll be there as soon as possible," He said. "Just you, no one else."
I lost my consciousness again. When I woke up a second time, Ratchet was knelt down next to me. "What happened to you?" He asked worriedly, grabbing a few things and injected me. "It happened so fast... I- I had no time to respond. My father came in when I was asleep and started to beat me. My mother did nothing to stop him. I did nothing wrong." Ratchet cut me off. "Shh, It's okay. He's not going to hurt you again. I promise." I nodded and felt a few tears wiggling down my swollen cheek. How could my father beta me up like that and how could my mother ignore me when I needed her...?
