"Paige."

I stopped. "Alright, I am willing to give you a change." I raised a brow in confusion. "But I thought you said—" he cut me off. "Make sure you're in time tomorrow, don't disappoint me," he said before he passed. A wide smile grew on my face. He changed his mind somehow. Perhaps he saw potential in me. I couldn't he happier. When I got home, I burst through the door. "Mom? Dad?!" I called out. "I am recruited for the program. Lennox said he wanted to give me a change," I chirped. My mom hugged me, "I knew he would ask you," she purred. I looked at my dad and walked up to me. "I can finally make you proud. I am recruited," I said. He hit my cheek.

"You have a zero experiences... it's only a matter of time until he kicks you off the team," he snapped. "You don't hit her," my mom shouted angrily. I didn't even hear the fight, I just walked back to my room and rubbed my cheek. He has never but me before so I was pretty upset about it. I sat down behind my desk, staring at my drawing for a moment. On the background, I heard my parents shout. I don't know what has gotten my father's mind lately. I got up and left the house, I needed to clear my mind and go out for a little walk. I stranded in the park and looked over the water. I touched my cheek and flinched. Dad had hit me quite hard, hard enough to give me a nasty bruise.

I picked up a stone and threw it in the lake. "Are you mad?" Surprised, I looked up. "Sunstreaker...?" I got back up on my feet. "I am not mad... just cleaning my mind, that's all," I said. He hummed, "Lennox recruited you?" he asked. I smiled and nodded, "Yeah, he changed his mind," I chirped. "Why is it so important to you? Why do you want to fight? Why not Harvard?" He asked. "How do you know about Harvard?" I asked. "You talk to yourself," he responded and sat down on a bench. "I have a few reasons for that... one because I like it, two because I don't want to be weak anymore and three... my dad," I said.

"He wants you to fight?" he asked. "No, he doesn't want me to join the military because he thinks I suck. He rather wants me to go to Harvard, but you know... no matter what I will do in the end, I will never be able to please him. He never gave me a single compliment. I want to make him proud but he somehow always criticize me. Even you gave me a compliment, my dad hasn't give me a single compliment as long as I can remember. That sucks. I had hoped to make him proud for once but no... he yelled at me and hit me. He never hit me before," I scowled and kicked against a piece of stone. "So, you are mad?" he asked.

"Maybe a little but what will it change? People always tell me what to do and what I shouldn't do. That sucks," I muttered. "Than why don't you stand up for yourself?" he asked. "I do, I try but my shyness is always bothering me." I sucked in a breath and had the courage to sit beside him. "Why are you here?" I asked to change the subject. "Same as you... to clear my mind," he responded. "Are you mad?" I asked. "I am."

"You want to talk about it?"

"Ugh, just some soldiers that are working on my nerves and Ironhide. Nothing too special," he said. I hummed and looked back at him. "I wanted to say that I like your new alt-mode. It suits you," I said. "Thanks you, chatty," Sunstreaker replied. "Chatty?" He hummed. "You talk the ears off my head. I think even Jazz would be jealous. Do you have car?" I shook my head. "No, I have drivers license but I don't have a car.I always take the bus, metro or just walk."

"Finally a human that doesn't complain about walking," he scoffed. I smiled a little and looked down at my lap. Sunstreaker brushed some hair from my face. I blushed at his action and watched him get up. "I have to go, be in time tomorrow," he said. I gave a small nod. "And you know... don't worry so much about your dad. He'll come back to senses, have a little fate. Lennox won't just kick you off the team," he stated. "Are you sure?" I asked. "Yeah, where's the confidence?" he asked. "I don't want to mess up," I said.

"Well, you are going to mess up because it's you only funny for the rest of us," he mocked. I got back up on my feet. "But I don't want to make the fool out of myself again. Don't you have some... tips?" I asked. "Don't hit hard, hit continuously that's more affective. Aim for vital parts. Don't panic and be aware of your surroundings. Especially when you fight like we do, you need to be very cautious. Thousand of things are going on and if you don't keep your guard high, you'll screwed," he said. "Take your surroundings in advantage but in your case.... I would recommend to keep be on your toes. Sometimes running is better than fighting," he said.

I nodded and thought about what he just said. "Good luck tomorrow," he said. I gave a small nod, "Thanks," I mumbled. Sunstreaker walked off and left me standing here. Sunstreaker cheered me up a little bit. Back home, I headed for my room but my mom called me over. "Where have you been?" she asked. "At the park, too clear my mind. Sunstreaker was there too, same reason. He gave me tips for tomorrow," I said and sat down at the table.

"Honey... you do realize that Sunstreaker isn't from earth, right?" she asked. "Yeah, I know," I said. "Sunstreaker is more than just an alien, mom. Sunstreaker is perfect in all kinds of ways. He's a bit of a loner but... he has fate in me. If you only could see him fight today... he was magnificent. He's so flexible and agile. He's one with his sword." My mom shook her head. "Call Ben. To apologize," She said. I stared at her, "why? He was rude, not me," I sulked. "You left him," she said. I shrugged and got up, "he ruined my day," I muttered and walked off towards my room.
