I was so nervous. All I could think about was the tips Sunstreaker had given me. I scanned the room to see if Sunstreaker would be here, but he wasn't. Of course not, Sunstreaker never watches training sessions. I stood in line, the sergeant stared at me as he spotted me. "You're the cleaner," he said. "Lennox said I could join the program," I said. "At the end of today, you wish he didn't," he said and turned his attention to the entire group. I felt fear clutching onto my stomach. I wasn't sure what I could expect but I hoped they wouldn't beat me up. After the warming up we started sparing. I got more punches than I was able to give.

The sergeant shook his head and clapped his hand. "We are going to do a switch," he announced. "Finally!" I glanced at the one I had been sparing against. "I want someone who can actually fight," he scowled and glared at me. I sighed softly and watched him walk off. No one wanted to fight with me and that's embarrassing. They pretended I wasn't there at all. So, instead I watched the others train. I waited for another switch and picked a soldier. He was big and looked irritated. I punched him in the face. The soldier hadn't even flinched and gritted his teeth before hitting me in the face and knocking me off my feet. Blood poured from my nose.

I reached for my face. "Paige." I looked at the sergeant. "Clean yourself up and come back when you found courage again or stay away. Maybe that's better." I walked off. My hands, shirt and face were all under blood and beside all the blood did hurt quite bad. I felt someone grab arm and pull me further through the hall. "What did I say to you the other day?" Sunstreaker asked strictly. I sighed, "I tried my best," I said. He walked into the ladies bathroom and grabbed some napkins, helping me to stop the bleeding. He wiped my face clean with a wet napkin before he stepped back. "Thanks."

"Oh please, don't mention it," he mocked. "I told you the other that you were going to mess up," he added. I sighed, "yeah, you were right but I did hit him in the face," I said. "He hit you too... and it affected you more than him," he added. "Hit me." I raised a brow. "Hit you?" I asked. He nodded. "Come on." I hit his chest. "Never punch like this. You are going to break your thumbs if you do... besides you can't use enough force. Sunstreaker punched the wall, breaking a tile. I looked at his hand. "You see..."
Sunstreaker stepped away from the wall and taught me a few moves. "You see... you can do it," he said. I gained some confidence and smiled. "Now, go." I nodded. "I won't disappoint you again," I stated and walked off.

I washed Paige's blood off my hands and walked off. Optimus just called me in. "What's the matter?" I asked, leaning against the wall with my arms crossed. "Are you watching Paige?" He asked. "No..." I sulked. "Mirage told me you did," he said. I rolled my eyes, "what's the point?" I grumbled. "How's she doing?" I grunted, "just patched her up," I sulked. "She looks up to you," he said. "Yeah?" I sulked, looking at my fingernails. "She does... I talked to Ratchet and he told me that you're her idol. She wants to be like you," he said. I glanced at him, "I think she would be over the moon if you start training her.

I bit my lip. "I will think about it. I told you the the basics," I said. "Yeah, but maybe she wants to learn from you," he said. I grunted, "what's in it for me?" I asked. "Nothing, you're just doing something nice for once," he replied. I snorted and thought about Paige for a moment. "You're the reason she's in the program, so it's part your responsibility," he said. I rolled my eyes, "I don't care about the fleshy, Prime," I scowled. "Than tell me why you wanted her to join the program?" He asked. "Because you gave me a change once and I wanted to give her a change. Not because I like her or because I think she's good but because she wants it. You gave me a change as well back on Cybertron to join you. You had all the reason to not too but you did."

"I also supported you. Return it to Paige," he said. I rolled my eyes and turned around. "Yeah, whatever." I walked off and watched Paige from a little distance. Why if she's able to do it, isn't she showing it now? Is it confidence or pressure? At the end of the day, Paige was exhausted and shaking. I felt a wave of guilt wash over me. What on earth did I do. I dragged her into this.

I glanced at the soldier, they were snapping photos of her state and filming her. She already felt miserable enough. Paige fell on the ground. I slowly got up and walked downstairs. "Get out now!" I sneered. They ran off. Paige glanced at me. "I can do better," she said. "Yeah, but not today." I grabbed her and helped her back up on her feet. "Come on." She limped after me.

I sat her down in the cafeteria and gave her some sugar to give Paige a boost. She slowly recovered from her intense workout off today and I felt like I could finally leave. She seemed a little disappointed when I got up. "Thanks for the help," she said. I shrugged and walked off.

My mom uttered a scream when she saw me and rushed over to me. "What happened?" she asked, sitting me down and checked me over. "What have you been doing? Why are you so beaten up?" she asked and washed some remaining blood off my neck. "Mom, please, I'm fine," I snorted and smiled. "I don't agree with this," she said, shaking her head. "It was only today, the soldiers are rough but they're all nice." I offered a smile but she didn't return and looked rather mad. "You look like someone coming straight off the battlefield! How can you call this normal?" she asked. "I– look, I know I don't look good but honestly, I am fine. Despite all this," I mumbled.

My mom shook her head. "No, absolutely not. I can't believe they beat you up like this," she snapped. I looked down at my hands, "Tomorrow will be different," I mumbled and got up with a groan. "I am going to take a shower." I walked off and headed for my room to collect some clothing.
