♛ Chapter 17 - investigations ♛

Y/n's  POV

We had gathered in our room (By we I mean me, Emma, Norman, Ray, Gilda and Don) we were all standing around a map of the house Emma had drawn  "there's a secret room in this house?" Don asked just hearing about it "that's right. And the location is..." Emma said then drew a circle in a place between mom's office and mom's bedroom "right next to mom's room." The orange haired girl said with a determined look "mom's room... has a washroom right next to it, and next to the washroom is mom's office. But our theory... is that  this area is that this space between isn't a mere wall." Emma said drawing a thicker line to out line the space "I noticed recently..." Gilda started it was her turn to report "that every time, right before mom disappears, she always enters the washroom or the office." Gilda said making her point "and so, we dicided to put the theory to the test and measure the distances of both walls inside and out side the rooms." Emma explained "and the results?" Don asked looking at Emma "they were completely different." Emma answered "there's some sort of space worth about ten steps of mine there. One side of the space is a wall the other a bookshelf. But u think there is some sort of hidden entrance to get to the space from both sides. Inside... will be mom's secret room." Emma said "but what is it even for?" Don asked, y/n knew the answer  to that question, "for her to make the reports." Y/n said "mom reports to HQ on a daily basis. That's probably what the room is for." Y/n said "H.... Q...?" Don asked God, he has so many questions "the 'headquarters' that send in both people like sister Krone, and our baby siblings." Norman expailed "y/n... did you already know the exicence of this room?" Emma said with a serious look "nope. But I have been suspecting that there's got to be room something like that." Y/n said shrugging "let's go in then!" Don said getting fired up as he stood up "it's where she communicates with the outside world! If we investigate the room we might be able to find stuff about Conny and the others!" Don practicly yelled "but what about a key? It's a secret room so she must have locked it!" Gilda said making a point "could you break in Norman?" Emma asked looking at him "depends on the type of lock... " Norman said thinking "woah, hold up. There's no need to do something like that!" Ray said "it may  have a communication device, but it probably just connects to headquarters anyway. Mom has no idea where our sibling have been taken to. There isn't much information to gain from this investigation. On the other hand if we try to break in anyway, there's to much of a risk, remember there's trackers embedded in our body's. On top of that, we don't know the situation with the security of this secret room is. It's way too dangerous to attempt without reason. Listen. There's more for us to lose then gain if we break In. Forget it. We've discovered the rooms location. Thats great. However... It's no place for us to break in at the current moment." Ray said "agreed." Y/n said looking at the others for their opinion "I agree as well." Norman said "I see" Emma said getting the point "anyways we have other things we should be worried about instead." Ray pointed out "right now we just have to make sure sister doesn't catch us doing anything sketchy. If we rush into action we'd basicly be digging our own graves." Norman said "exactly. Mom aside, if sister catches on, on what were doing, were skewed. Keep that in mind, guys." Ray pointed out "don't worry! As long as we act normal!" Emma said with a smile "Yeah..." Gilda said with a weak smile.

"....Gonna go prepare for dinner." Don said opening the door, Gilda following "we'll join soon!" Emma said then they left closing the door behind them. "So, we need to investigate what the area outside of the house of the house is like." Ray said "we'll need to investigate." Ray said passing a pair of binoculars to Emma "this a 'prize' i got for working with mom "we'll climb the wall and check out the other side with these." Ray explained "let's invesagate that tomorrow." Y/n said "I also forgot! I have someone I want to introduce you guys to!" Emma said with a smile.

After that we made our way to the library. The library...? "Wait here!" Emma said leading us to a table in between the book shelves full of books, after a few seconds she retur ed with a stack of books, most of witch y/n has read before one of them y/n's favorite book The Adventure's Of Ugo, y/n wondered what this had to do with meeting someone unless... it was a book character she wanted us to meet... "this person!" Emma said happily pointing at a stamp on the book that read:  William Minerva "William Minerva?" Norman asked "who is he?" Norman asked facing Emma "no clue!" Emma said with a goofy smile, y/n forced her self not to laugh at the amount of care-free-ness she had. "What I do know is that he used to be the owner of these books! Where he is...  who he is... or if he is still alive... we don't know at all. Still... he's... so fine that can become our ally!" Emma said with a deturmend smile "what... do you mean?" Norman asked trying to make sense of it y/n herself didnt know what Emma was talking about. " This person has been using these books to send out a secret message. And that's not just one book, it's multiple! I  order to survive outside... this man will become our key and guide!" Emma said "we wont just escape... we'll discover a way... to navagate this world on our own!" Emma said determined "yeah!" Norman agreed happily.
