Y/n's Pov (Day five)

"We did it!" The children yelled with joy, you yourself were relieved that we made it this far,
"Right ahead, we'll rise up and you'll be leaving with forest. Let's rest for the night! can proceed tomorrow." Sonju said
"This time, leave the dinner to us!"
"Then we'll go make some more medicine from here!"

you smiled, everyone had learned so much from Mujika and Sonju. Everyone was thankful and we all tried to help out as much as we could.

That day we all helped make dinner and stock up on supplies, You had completely memorized the edible and non-edible plants and you trained every day with the weapons Sonju had provided you. He also taught you how to make extra ones just in case you run out.

When we had all finished making dinner we sat down and ate the warm meal happily, it was just as good as the food in grace field house...
"All right! tomorrow we should be reaching B06-32!!" Don said with an excited expression
"If we keep a good pace that is," Nat said with his arms crossed
"Then we're gonna keep a good pace!" Chris said with a happy smile, everyone was pumped to see what awaited at the safe place where Mr.Minerva was. but at the same time, everyone was sad to be leaving the two demons but we couldn't burden them any longer.

You looked over at Gilda who seemed to be concentrating on something,
"What's the matter, Gilda?" Y/N asked
Ray and Emma had seemed to wonder what Gilda was thinking about as well

"Ah, no, It's... I was rethinking our plans..." Gilda responded she still seemed to have something on her mind
"How come?" Emma asked
"Well, I was thinking about those stories of the old that Sonju told us.." Gilda said the continued

"It's good to know that there's a human world somewhere. But on the other hand... we thought that there would be human groups here, in this world... we were counting on human cities or something but there's nothing. No other humans to join, either. And we need more people to rescue the kids left on the farm... So that's why we need to come up with a new plan." Gilda concluded

Gilda is right, we can't break down a whole plant, in grace filed house we only escaped...

"Sonju!" Emma said waving him down and he walked over to us
"Hm?"
"Are there more humans like us... runaways?" Emma asked
"You should know, right? Did you hear anything on your travels?" Ray asked
"There are many plantations... it's very that the kids in the other plantations know that Mr.Minerva exists... Maybe they also managed to run away" You said with uncertainty in your voice, but you were hopeful,

"Never heard of it. And, even if there were any... It'd be a small count indeed. one or two at best." Sonju said

"Huh!??" The few that were listening said, catching the attention of the others that happened not to be listening
"But why...?" Emma asked

"Plantations may have nothing in common with one another but the name. in particular, premium-grade plantations like your grace filed are exceptional... that large majority are for factory farming," Sonju explained
"Factory... farming? What's that?" Thoma asked clearly confused, Even you yourself was curious,
"The mas production of cheap meat. Where the livestock is kept in poor conditions, barely even living... just fattening for the slaughter. Humans born in such farms don't even learn a language. They have no names. they have no free will. They most certainly couldn't even think of escaping" Sonju said, the air was tense now.

"Though even if they did, They'd get nowhere anyhow," Sonju said and we all stood there in shock,
How awful... Do they have no language? No will? Not even the fake happiness we did... they're really just... food... That is the normal kind of farm... and there's a lot of them as well...

"Incidentally, among several hundred plantations, the premium-grade ones amount to... a mere four," Sonju said with a blunt tone,

"Four? Only four?!" Don asked, no, yelled
"Don, shhh you're being too loud," You said, not that it mattered but you had to be sure. Don was right though, four is only a little amount compared to the mass-production farms...
