Y/n's POV
We travelled through the tunnels, roots made up the walls just as they did in the caves we slept and ate in, The atmosphere was tense and everybody walked carefully. We were all scared of what demons could live here.
"Be at ease, they won't find us down here" Sonju said with a smile as he looked behind him towards us, He had his hood down and he was still holding his spear which he had sharpened before we had started to walk, The children seemed to really look up to him.
"I myself built this path, by connecting tunnels left behind by dead vampire trees. It's a true maze. Only I and Mujika can find the exit" Sonju said amazing the crowd of kids that followed him
"I'd be lost actually!" Mujika commented
"They from the plantations aren't very familiar with the forest. We can just stay in these tunnels until we clear the area." Sonju said
"How far do you think that our pursuers are?" You asked, Emma and Ray were walking with you
"They've probably lost our track by now. But we still have to be careful" Ray said
"Oh, look! Water anemones!" Alicia said as she poked the plant that held fresh water, It's good that there's water down here...
"Mujika, do you live with your friends in this forest?" Alicia asked Mujika tugging on her hood. Mujika had her hood down, she had her long hair in a braid
"Not 'live', no. were just passing through! We travel through various lands, never stopping anywhere" Mujika said with a smile
"Why?" Dominic asked happily
Sonju stood there, thinking.
"Hmmm... Why, indeed..." Sonju said he was smiling.
"Should we tell them about the promised?" Ray asked
"...It's your call, Emma." You said as you all still continued walking, Where are we going again? You asked yourself, I probably was half asleep when they explained it... You sighed to yourself
"let's tell them. We shouldn't keep them in the dark for too long." Emma said
"Hey, guys! We need to say something!"
Time Skip (After explaining)
"A promise... a contract between humans and demons..." Don said He was just soaking up the information.
"One of Minerva's morse-code messages was the word 'Promise' Right...?" Gilda said
"So that's what it was all about..." Don mumbled to himself
"Maybe," Emma said looking down
"But... Sonju said we're on earth, but not in the human... What does that even mean?" Nat asks
"The world was... 'Split'...?" Anna said with a worried expression.
"We were so convinced that something happened 30 years ago to make the world like this... But it's been this way for a thousand years... There have never been human lands here. No human countries, no cities." Emma said
"1000 years ago, they made a promise and split the world in two..." Gilda said It seemed everyone was still trying to soak in the information.
"Sonju said things like, 'The pathway was shut down'... 'The door was closed'..." Emma said then continued,
"Sounds like there were places they could go in the past, but cannot anymore..."
"If that's true, we live in the world promised to the demons, and we've been cut apart..." Don said, waving his hands around like a crazy man.
"We thought we lived in the world we read about in our books, but turns out we're in another place altogether," Don said.
"That's why our final goal is... To escape from this world itself!" Emma said she was standing in front of all of us,
"And Minerva is someone who probably knows how to do that..." Anna said
"That's what we think, yes," Emma said with a serious look
"We'll find Minerva and ask him how to cross to the other world. Then we'll have two years to make plans and get ready. We go back for Phil and the others, And escape all together to the human world." Emma explained.
"There is a place safe from the demons," Don said with a smile,
"There's hope, after all," Anna said happily
"...But... I wonder if it will be that easy..." Nat said in w worried tone,
"Right," Gilda said thinking
"To start with, He said we cannot cross over. The paths were closed... as part of the promise and we want to get quite a good number of people though. Even if Minerva knows some way... It probably won't be simple..." Gilda said
"No one's saying it will." Emma said with a determined smile,

You smiled, The Emma we all know and love
"Crossing between worlds is probably very difficult, yes... And before even that, we still have to figure out how to survive in this demon's world." Emma said, You sighed, there's no point in sticking around here in this sad little cave. You started walking towards Emma then, you stopped, "We will go to the human world, together. To a world without demons!" You both said in sync and you continued walking towards Ray who was up ahead.
