Tris's POV

When we walked into the party, I was amazed by the difference. There were tables, and I mean five separate tables for alcohol! People were already taking shots! Another big change was the appearance of these people. They were broader, taller and some even had deeper voices.

It was a hell of a lot louder, thank God that there weren't any neighbours near by. The closest one was about 2 miles left from here.

I was happy to see that we blended in well, no one really noticed we looked younger or that we were still in high school.

"Guys, this is my friend Jakob. The host of this party." Zeke introduces us.

Jakob is tall and attractive. He has shining hazel eyes either natural or from alcohol. His matching brown hair was shaggy and messy along his forehead. He smiled a wide grin.

"Good, you made it. Why not grab a drink?" He asks, I can already tell he's tipsy.

"C'mon Tris." Christina and Marlene tug on my hand, leading me to one of the intimidating tables.

A couple others are filling their drinks or mixing others. I grab a solo cup and look at my options, I never really overly enjoyed to drink at parties.

"Want to do shots?" Marlene asks, "We're legal age so why not?"

"Nah, you two go ahead though." I shake my head and open a can of beer, dumping it into my cup.

I watch as they drown two shots each before wiping their mouths and high fiving.

"Whoa, I already feel dizzy." Christina laughs,

"Did you two already start the shots?" Uriah smiles and places his arm around Marlene's shoulders.

"We got to get the party started!" She exclaims and throws her arms around his neck.

"Then let's go dance." Uriah leads Marlene away and Chris stands next to me.

"I'm so happy you're my best friend." She says out of the blue, peering over at me and smiling.

"Me too, Chris."

"I don't know what I'd do without you." She hugs me tightly before letting go and stumbling back.

After our best friend heart to heart, she leaves to find Will and I'm stuck searching for Tobias. When my eyes land on him I see him chatting with a group of college people, them being girls.

Frowning, I take a step forward and head over.

"Hey." I say as I wrap my arm around his waist.

He smiles brightly at me, "Hey, Tris."

The other girls get sour looks on their faces and purse their lips, as if waiting to be introduced.

"This is my girlfriend, Tris. Tris, these are a couple girls from the college here." Tobias says finally.

A couple put on fake smiles while others don't even try to pretend to care.

"Four, you didn't mention you had a girlfriend, a small one too. She's so cute." A brunette snickers.
