".... And so magnets are strongest at their poles. Does anyone have any questions?" Mrs. Jonas wrapped up her little power point explanation of magnetic fields, five minutes before lunch. I tuned out the few kids that asked a question and continued drawing my Phoenix wings. Fire was fun to draw.

The bell finally rung and I waited for the class to clear out before getting to my bag and grabbing my sandwich. I headed outside to my oak tree. I didn't ever approach Tyler at lunch, if he wanted to hang out at school with me, he'd have to be the one to choose it. I sat patently but wasn't exactly expecting him to come over. After I finish my food, I lay my head against the tree and listen to the wind while humming 'Scarborough fare'.

"What's that song?" I cracked an eye open to see a small boy, maybe 8 or 9, he looked of Asian background and he'd died the tips of his ear-length hair dark green. "It sounds very familiar..."

"Scarborough fare." I mumbled and closed my eyes, telepathically coaxing him to go away. I heard him move and I think he sat in front of me but didn't open my eyes to check.

"I'm Zeek." I grunted in response. I don't care if I'm being rude, I didn't want another liability. "Your very quiet?"

"Not today." I grumbled and opened my eyes, I don't think he was going to leave. "Has anyone ever told you your eyes are pretty?" they really were, they were so dark like a lake at midnight and when light reflected on them it was a night sky. I wasn't interested but his eyes were just to beautiful not to mention.

I can't deny I'm jealous over those gorgeous orbs. How is it legal to have such enchanting eyes?! It may sound like I'm hitting on him but I mean all of this praise platonically.

"Probably. So why are you humming all alone?" he questioned and tilted his head slightly. This kid was too cute but he'd probably forget about me soon and go back to his friends.

"I'm not anymore." I tried not to sound unwelcoming but I still sounded sarcastic.

"Why were you?" He just doesn't give up does he? He was smiling innocently at me and I look around to see if anyone was looking at us that might be his friend. No one.

"Where are your friends?" I asked him, the kids his age don't usually talk to my year. I was honestly confused and curious as to why he was here.

"Sick. You looked lonely, and I was lonely. So we can unlonely eachother." aww that was too cute and he looked so confident in what he was saying. "Do you wanna play a game with me?"

"...depends. What game?" I didn't wanna be stuck doing something stupid, I was too old for fairies and princesses.

"Tip!" he yelled and tapped my leg before running away. He pause a couple metres away and waited for me to get up and chase. I very slowly got to my feet, just when he wasn't expecting it I lunged forward. He quickly sprinted away.

We ran back and forth for a few minutes, a few younger kids asked to join and the game slowly grew until most of the year 3's were running around.

"Oi! All yous tip players gather round!" Zeek bellowed after a while. It took about a minute but everyone huddled around the green haired boy. "Who wants to play build-ups?!" a chorus of 'yes' and 'me' was paired with raised hands. "Great, you start!" he pointed at me and all the kids scattered.

I quickly pursued a few of the girls that ran together. Rather quickly I tipped all three gently so I didn't hurt them but they kept running screaming "you missed!"

I rolled my eyes and chased another kid I recognised from the hoard. I was more coordinated and fast than the small children but a good amount didn't admit to being tapped. The bell finally rang after a few rounds and I headed back to the class of sweaty preteens smiling.
