Quick message: Lumai's projected thoughts are in '...' instead of "..." so try look out for contractions like I'm or didn't because they aren't part of the speech marks.

Thank you, enjoy!

"I know you're hungry Raptor, I am too but I have to savor the food I stole. Your a cat anyway, just hunt a lizard or eat dumpster food like you used to." This annoying creature wouldn't stop meowing at me, you would think by now she'd of figured out I wouldn't feed her.

We were resting in an alleyway, it had been only a few days since I met Milly and our supplies were already dwindling. I picked up the boney kitten and rested her on my chest. She had shiny grey fur with slightly darker streaks running through it, she managed to look so alive even when she was basically a skeleton.

'The zombie and the skeleton,' I thought as she snuggled my chest, 'we really are the walking dead.'

Not quite, at least I'm prettier than you.

'Oh so you're back again? How can you be prettier anyway? You're a second personality. '

Eh, not really. I thought you were smarter then that, Lumai.

'What's that supposed to mean?'

Raptors head popped up to stare at me blankly, like she was trying to tell me something.

It means, stop being so dense and see me already.

'Are you trying to convince me you're a starving kitten?'

Well I am.

'Is that so...'

Raptor rolled her eyes and I blinked at her. Do cats roll eyes?

This one does.

'Well duh.'

"Tarnyx?" I asked the cat, she gave a terrifying smile and cat hugged me. Well shit, I've gone mad. "Why'd ya wait so long to tell me?"

Tarnyx yawned, well I wanted to see it you could figure it out but I got hungry.

'How are you still a kitten if you've been in my head for over a year?'

Not gonna ask why I'm a human like cat that can telepathically communicate with you and read your mind?

'Nah, I've already accepted that but if you have an answer, tell me.'

The fuck. Well I was in your mind as a spirit, waiting to be reborn-

'So your a Phoenix cat?'

... Sure but that's not what we call ourselves. Anyway, I was a spirit cat until I absorbed enough energy to materialize. I'm kinda like your familiar or soulmate.

'Soulmate as in friend or lover?'

What do you think, Dingus!

'Hm... Friend?'

What do you want, a gold star?

'Yes please.'

Your hopeless.

Raptor– Tarnyx pawed her head in what I assume was a face palm. I sighed and leaned back against the wall.

'How come I can't read your mind?'

You can, it requires training though.

'Are there others like you?'

Like us, probably.
