"Lumai!"
"Lumai!" A familiar voice rang through the house and my small body shuddered as I suppressed giggles. My mum was getting very close to my hiding spot. "When I find you I will tickle you senseless!" The humor in her voice was evident but anyone could tell she wasn't lying.
Foot steps echoed in the hall, growing louder and louder until they stopped. They were dangerously close. The footsteps started up again and I could tell they were in the room with me. Luckily I hide really well, I still held my breath though. She'll never find me!
"If I was a 7-year-old-girl, where would i be...?" The sound of Mum's footsteps got even closer than they stopped, just stopped. Complete silence followed and I desperately tried to be still while holding my breath. Just as I was about to give in to my lungs' demands for air, the blanket I was under was yanked away from me. "Gotcha!"
No! How did she find me!
I gasped and looked up to see a tall woman smirking at me. The woman revealed was beautiful with her long, dark brown hair and green eyes, freckles scattered her face - especially her nose- and she had plump pink lips. Mum was gorgeous, I looked nothing like her or Dad.
Suddenly, she attacked my sides with wringling fingers. I burst out laughing. "Mum... Stop... Please!" I managed to wheeze between laughs. After what seemed an eternity she ceased her tickling. I took in deep gulps of air while spread out on the floor as I looked into her warm eyes, so pretty, they had dark brown flecks and streaks of dark and medium greens making them look like gems.
Sometimes, I wish I had pretty eyes, too.
"It's time for dinner now, honey." She stated simply, as if she haden't just driven my soul out of me. Although, I did hear a kind of strain on that last word I didn't think on it. I giggled quietly at the thought of tickling a possessed person back to sanity while I hopped up to follow Mum.
"What's for dinner?!"
"Spag bol." She said smiling at me but it looked a bit forced, I brush edit off as her not sharing the same love of the food. Yes, my favourite!
