Forgotten Daughter series

I honestly don't remember exactly how Mason came to be, but I know I got the idea when I started writing the prophecy for Forgotten Daughter.

Full disclosure, he's not my favorite OC. I still love him, but I'd be much sadder if like literally any of my other OC's died. (Sorry Mason)

What I love about Mason? I like the idea of him being a rejected half-blood. Not just unclaimed, full on disowned by his godly parent. It was fun to write a character with so much anger, but also so much compassion. (In terms of his relationship with Ali.) I thought he'd be a fairly relatable character, or at least a character where you could understand his motive.

My favorite part with him would probably have to be him fighting Ali, Annabeth, and Percy with Zeus' Stone. (The one where Percy loses his ability to breathe underwater.) I like the emotion and power that he reveals and, obviously, I loved almost having Percy drown. 😅

My favorite part to write was, predictably, his death. 😈 It gives him some redemption and the fact that Ali has just regained her memories of him... 😈😈😈 I feel like it was a bit of a shock. It kind of comes out of nowhere. And, of course, I got to write a grieving Ali. She suffers more and gets even more secluded because she's the only one who cares. *evil laugh*

Overall, he was a fun character to write and I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent on him. I know some of you really like him too and may still be mad at me for killing him, but that just means I did a good job of writing him. 😅
