This picture was fun to edit and, if you'll notice, there's a wing in the background, because... Thanatos. 😁 Again, clothes aren't right, but I'm just glad I got a pic with the other stuff right... and even then I did a lot of editing. 😅

Okay, I've been obsessed with the idea of a daughter of Persephone ever since I started learning about Greek mythology and the myth of Persephone and Hades. I realized that for Persephone to have a half-blood child they would be born like halfway through a normal pregnancy. I love the idea of this petite little girl who can kick people's butts.

The Thanatos part of it happened when I was sort of just considering "what if" and, as I thought about it, I really liked the idea and... now it's a thing.

I love Eliza's personality. She's just a sassy little evil genius. I like her obsession with mystery novels and that she reads books even though she's dyslexic. I really enjoyed writing her vendetta against Sherlock Holmes. (And no Avi, you will get no explanation.) I love her strange obsession with death and the fact that she basically knows everything and that she's SO. Frickin'. Powerful! Her interactions with... well everyone were so fun to write and I love the brother-sister relationship between her and Jason and the rivalry of sorts she has with Leo in the beginning. I honestly love the fact that this time pretty much no one knew who her mom would be. (There were some interesting theories though. 😁)

My favorite part with her was the part when she's fighting the twin giants in Rome and it's revealed that she's a goddess. It was so fun to show the true extent of her power and seeing all your reactions to the reveal. Not to mention the sheer amount of crazy emotions running through her mind.

My favorite part to write was probably... this is really hard to choose since she has so many amazing, emotional, heart-wrenching moments. 😈 But... I think maybe... *gasps* when she was possessed by the eidolon!!!! That was way too much fun to write. Her using her power without restraint on the people she loves... just... aghdbrhrh. That sounds so bad, but... what can I say, I'm a bit of a sadist when it comes to writing. 😅

Anyway, I love Eliza SO much and I honestly don't know if I'll every bring her back in future stories.
