Chapter 30: Is He here?

Lucy's POV

It's was already 12:00 midnight, and we were at the inn. I still can't help thinking about me and his encounter today.

Well even so, I'll do everything I can to protect them. I slowly drifted to sleep, saying to myself everything will be okay, or so I thought.

"Good Morning again folks, it's a beautiful day here in Fiore isn't Yajima-san?" Chapati stated.

"It's is indeed a beautiful day, and for our guest we have Miss Lucy of Fairy Tail." Yajima-san announced.

"Thank you, Yajima-san, it's my pleasure." I said a bit baffled, also remembering the time he asked me to be the guest.

It was at the pub we celebrated when Yajima-san and Chapati came.

"You want me to be the guest for tomorrow's grand magic games?" I asked a bit surprised. After Yajima-san explained what I must do, he asked me to join.

"Yes, Miss Lucy, it would be fun to have one of the guild's competitors join us." Yajima-san said while drinking some booze with the master.

"It would really be fun Miss Lucy, what do yah say?" Chapati asked.

"Well, I" I wasn't sure, I mean won't my team need me and I have to be on high alert if he comes.

"Go Lucy! It would be fun." Mira urged.

"And we'll be fine, Cana can substitute for a while." Gajeel smirked while pointing at a half-drunk Cana.

"Are you sure?" I asked them one more time just to check.

"We'll be fine. Don't worry about us." Laxus grinned.

I sighed defeated. Though I really should trust them, I've got nothing to worry about anyway.

"Alright, I'll do it." I finally gave in and they cheered for me.

And that's how it went.

"Now to start the day we'll be having a little game, it's called Blinded. Pick you're players now!" Chapati ordered and the guild's went in frenzies, deciding who to pick.

I was told what to say since I'll be giving the mechanics.

As the guild's presented their members, I smiled. Because Wendy was joining, but it hit me if he were to strike today, and now, Wendy might get hurt. I wanted to stop her but I didn't want to make a scene either. It would be bad for Fairy Tail's reputation.

Though I heaved a sigh of relief when Laxus joined in, at least there's someone to protect her out there.

"We've got, Minerva Orlando from Sabertooth, Laxus Dreyar from Fairy Tail B, Wendy Marvel from Fariy Tail A, Alexis from Raven Tail, Ichiya from Blue Pegasus, Toby from Lamia Scale, Ariana from Mermaid Heel, and lastly Rocker from Quatro Cerberus." Chapati read from the list of players. Yajima-san nodded towards me, gesturing for me to tell them the mechanics.

"The mechanics of the game, you will be given a blindfold, that's one of the most important details of the game, you'll wear it so it's all about your senses gotta trust them here, after that you'll be teleported somewhere in the arena inside a virtual maze. Inside is where you fight. Like I said before you'll have to rely on your instincts, your senses, cause that's what you'll be using for fighting. You'll earn a point if you get to attack someone head on. People taking off their blindfolds will be immediately disqualified from the game, but not the actual Grand Magic Games." After that I had to catch my breath for a while then Chapati continued.
