Chapter 17: The Lucky Ones

Lucy's POV

The stairs were very long and we ran as fast as we can so we could get in.

'I also forgot to mention-kabo, the maze has a series of portals, eight to be precise. You will have to find these portals and it will lead you to the finish line, be careful again and we will not be held responsible if any lives may be lost-kabo.' the pumpkin hologram appeared and informed us.

"Find a portal, sounds easy." Laxus said.

"We'll jut have to be careful on where we go." Mira said.

"Ok, let's start!" Gajeel exclaims.

*a few minutes of searching later*

"We haven't found anything yet!" I whined.

"How are we supposed to find a portal an-" Laxus said and was cut off when I placed my hand over his mouth.

"Do you hear that?" I asked

*Creak*....*Beep*........*Beep*

"The maze is turning!" We said in unison.

'Ahhhhh'

'Kyahhhhh'

'Ehhhhhh'

Random screams we're being...... well ummm screamed.

"What the heck is happening?" Gajeel asked holding onto the wall.

"Juvia thinks she is going to fall!" Juvia exclaimed while balancing on the edge.

"Hang on Juvia, minna!" I shouted.

Wait a minute something feels different. I looked down and I wasn't standing on anything!

"Ahhhhhhh!" I screamed falling. "Lucy!" They called out. I started flailing my hands and started blowing, like when you try to make a big bubble on your bubblegum, and it formed a huge bubble around me making me float.

The others gave a sigh of relief as I floated above them.

I think I'm getting dizzy.

*Pshh*

It finally stopped.

"Phew...that was a close one right guys?" Mira asked.

"Yeah, I think we're all fine." Gajeel said.

"Woah! Look down there!" Juvia exclaimed while pointing down.

We all checked on what she was talking about and when we saw it we were all shocked.

A lot of people fell, they were scattered everywhere and they were being carried by blue magic circles above the ground.

"Wow, so this is what happens in an elimination round!" I exclaimed.

"Well at least the number of groups are lessened, but we still have to find the portal and fast!" Mira stated.

"Areh?" Juvia asked looking confused.

"What's the matter Juvia?" I asked.

"Juvia is feeling something it's like, we are being watched." Juvia stated.

'Could it be him!' I thought intensely.

I looked around the area for anything diffrent but nothing out of the ordinary.

'Good, he isn't here yet'

*Rustle* *Rustle*

Something was rustling in the bushes.
