Chapter 29: What i'm fighting for

Lucy's POV

After that exhausting match the guild congratulated us, after that we went back to our team.

"Lucy!" Mira called out. "That was amazing!" She cried while hugging Lucy and all.

"Haha thanks and Laxus, I heard you." Lucy teased him.

Laxus huffed but blushed a little in embarrassment. Juvia laughed at his reaction so did Gajeel.

"On to the battle rounds folks! First up is, Blue Pegasus' Ren Akatsuki vs Raven Tail's Obra please enter the battle grounds." Chapati announced.

"Let's see how this goes into action." Gajeel said rather jokingly. Laxus grinned. For some reason they think it's a lame match up. Anyway I was about to watch when a pang of magic all too familiar hit me, spiritually.

"Excuse me for a moment guys I have to get some fresh air." They gave me worried looks but just said okay.

When I was out of the arena near it was a small patio and a fountain. When I got to the fountain I looked at my reflection. "So this is me now huh, not 'always need help' Lucy Heartfilia anymore." I said to myself.

"Really to me you still seem like a burden to them." A voice said behind me. "What do you want again?!" I shouted at him though still facing the same way. "You're decision." His hands then moved to her hips which made Lucy shiver. "Hands off!" I immediately faced HIM.

"I'm never going with you! And if you do destroy Fairy Tail! I'll be there to destroy you! As like Gray said they endured it when I went away! Now it's time for me to endure the pain that you will bestow upon them! Get out of my sight!" I declared, he had a angry expression on his face which made me more serious.

"You'll regret this Heartfilia, should have agreed to be mine." After he said that he disappeared into the dark side of the patio.

"I'm not afraid anymore. I'll fight for the others, Erza, Gray.....even Natsu!" I said to myself.

When I got back to the team they filled me in apparently Ren won against Obra, and while I was gone the second match also ended with Orga Nanagear from Sabertooth winning against Beth Vanderwooed from Mermaid Heel. And the third match is Gray vs Yuka Suzuki from Lamia Scale.

"So how's the third match going?" I asked them. They gave me a knowing smile. "As you can see Gray is kicking his butt." Gajeel stated pointing down. Sure enough when I looked down Gray was fighting Yuka and winning. Gray avoided his Wave shots and punched him since he can't really use his magic properly, and if you don't know what I'm saying I mean that Yuka uses nullification magic which stops or blocks or nullifies your magic.

"Go Gray!" I cheered which earned me a glare from Juvia but she then laced her arm around mine and yelled. "Juvia and Lucy are cheering for you Gray-sama!" Juvia yelled. Lucy was surprised of Juvia's behavior but when Juvia smiled at her, she forgot her doubts. Gray paused for a moment and gave a smile then back to the fight. After a while it ended with Gray winning the game.

A lot of people cheered because Gray dedicated his fight to Fairy Tail, dug. Which was sweet.

After a while Chapati announced the last match and it was Laxus vs Warcry.

"This isn't much of a match up for me." Laxus stated disappointed with what he got.

"Just cheer up and knock him dead." Mira told him which made Laxus smile and me and Gajeel smirk, remembering the time he bought something in that shop.

"Well I'm off." Laxus said while waving.

"Good luck." Juvia called out before he completely disappeared.

And just like that the match was over Warcry was fried. Here was what happened.

Laxus and Warcray were at the center. They started the match. Warcry declared that only through tears, one becomes stronger. Laxus was confused. Warcry started crying which surprised Laxus. It surprised me too and everyone else from Fairy Tail. Gajeel asked if he needed to eat or something. Then not knowing what to do Laxus just shocked him like a regular shock and he was down. The crowd went wild. Since they said Warcry was majorly strong. But Laxus didn't see it. After that he came back to us with a poker face asking us what the hell just happened.

And that was basically it. All of us were stunned ourselves.

"Alright folks that's all for today, see you tomorrow everybody. Thank you Org-san for being our guest and Yajima-san for coming." Chapati announced.

"It was my pleasure." Org nodded and smiled.

"Indeed" Yajima-san agreed.

"And that's how the 2nd day ended. In. A very weird way." I told them. They laughed and after that we went to the pub.
