Chapter 38: Round 1

Normal POV

"Natsu! Why are you following me?" Lucy yelled at Natsu while firing an ice ball at him. "I'm gonna fight you duh." Natsu said looking nervous. As they hopped from one building to the next, looking for some opponents.

"The agreement was that we defeat the other teams first before we face one on one."

Natsu sweat dropped. "Look there's Gajeel!" Lucy did a complete stop at one roof and so did Natsu.

"He's fighting Rufus."

"He's doing fine, just leave the Metal Freak alo-"

"Gajeel behind you!" Lucy screamed which alarmed Natsu. Alexei from Raven Tail was about to attack Gajeel from behind.

"What?" Gajeel looked in our direction.

"Screen!" As Lucy casted her magic a line started to form and it separated Gajeel from Alexei. Making Alexei jump back.

"Thanks for the save." Gajeel saluted and got back to fighting Rufus.

"Natsu I need you to take care of Alexei." Lucy told Natsu. Natsu rasied his eyes at Lucy. "Where are you going?"

"I need to check on the others." Lucy sweated getting nervous for some reason.

"Fine, but I'll catch up to you. This guy won't be a problem." Lucy smiled at Natsu and continued hopping on roofs. Natsu looked at Alexei and glared because Alexei was supposed to follow Lucy.

"hohoho Where are you going? Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Natsu was about to make contact with Alexei but he dodged it.

Natsu tried punching Alexei but he kept on dodging. "Damn! Stay put you masked geezer!"

Alexei dodged Natsu's punch one more time and then punched his stomach with a dark pulse.

"UGH....woah" Natsu looked at the spot he was punched at and it started glowing purple. The light grew brighter and brighter until it became unusually bright.

"This is not good..."

"Hey Natsu are you al- Woah"

"Whatsssss, happening?" Natsu looked at Gajeel's face who was at the verge of laughing. "What'ssss sssso funny? How'd you get ssso tall? What the?!" Natsu looked down at his hands but the thing is they weren't hands they were arms of a salamander!

"Bwahahahaha! Salamander became a Salamander!"

"Ssssshut up Metal Freak! Where isss that Massssk Facccced Basssstard! I'll! I'll! Where isss he?!"

"He got away." Gajeel rolled his eyes at Natsu and Natsu glared at him. "Well where'sssss Rufus?"

"He disappeared while I was trying to help you. Obviously that was a mistake. Trying to help an idiot like you I mean."

"Wait on a more important note! How am I ssssuppossssed to get back to normal?!"

"Your problem Salamander not mi- wait a minute! Where's Lucy! You weren't supposed to lose sight of her!"

"Well ssshe-"

Before Natsu could finish Gajeel dashed out in search for Lucy. "Hey what about me!" Natsu yelled, trying his best to follow Gajeel and trying to get used to being a lizard.
