Chapter 36: The Beginning of The End

Natsu's POV

"Natsu is everything alright?"

Lisanna asked me. Right now we were just walking around some garden.

"H-Huh? Oh. Yeah"

Look Lisanna is great and all but seriously I never even considered dating her once. A year ago she just came up to me and asked me to be her boyfriend since she was devastated about another boy breaking her heart so I just agreed. Nothing special.

"Natsu-kun tell me what's wrong." She pouted.

"I told you nothing's wrong Lisanna, I'm fine, thanks for worrying anyway."

Silence.

"Look Lisanna I'll head back, Lucy might be tossing and turning again, see you tomorrow." Then I dashed back to the infirmary, we agreed we had to watch over Lucy and I can't just stroll around in the middle of the night.

"O...kay"

Sorry Lisanna but I need to make sure if Lucy's alright.

Normal POV

"Good Morning ladies and gentlemen! Are you reaaadddyyyyy! Cause today is. The. Final. Day. Of. The. GRAND MAGIC GAMMMEEEESSSSSS!" A crazy-wigged Chapati screamed into the mic causing the audience to cheer along side him.

"We're in high spirits indeed Chapati, especially since our highness agreed to join us. Thank you for agreeing your highness." Yajima-san said happily, even more happy than whatever happiness he has.

"Thanks for having me. I am excited to see all the wonderful battles today" Princess Hisui says with a smile.

"Come on and lets call out the guilds!"

"Are you sure you two are okay? You guys did take a lot of damage yesterday." Mira asked Lucy and Gajeel worriedly.

"Psh, I never get too hurt" Gajeel smirked.

"Don't worry Mira! We've recovered. We'll be fine." Lucy gave Mira, Juvia, and Laxus a thumbs up.

"Juvia will watch out for you Lucy-san" Juvia whispered as she walked to the near entrance.

"Thank you....Juvia." Lucy silently but sadly said.

As Lucy started walking with Mira heading to the entrance too, Laxus and Gajeel stayed behind both giving a secret nod.

"You told Salamander and Snow Cone?" Gajeel asked turning his back from Laxus.

"They know the plan, Erza doesn't know. But actually Wendy knows, not all of the info though."

"Good. We just have to keep it that way. Lucy won't tell us anything, but it's better if we watch from the sidelines."

Laxus nodded at Gajeel. Gajeel started walking towards the girls, Laxus following.

For a second he turned his head and scanned his surroundings behind him.

"That's funny....just my imagination maybe."

Laxus proceeded but still felt weary.

Unbeknownst to him, two pitch black pupils in a dark corner suddenly turned white and a devilish psychotic smile started laughing silently (like a crazy person in a mental hospital)
