Chapter 25: I'm Sorry

Lucy's POV

"WAKE UP! LUCY!" I jolted out of bed when someone shouted.

"HEY! What's the big idea?!" I shouted, half-asleep and half-awake.

"See, told you shouting would work." Then my vision came clear, it was Gajeel.

I checked the alarm clock right beside me AND IT WAS STILL 4:00 IN THE MORNING! "GAJEEL!" I lunged at him an we both started wrestling.

I was on top of Gajeel's back when Laxus spoke. "Hey you two, cut it out." He said while sipping tea on a coffee table.

"Well he started it!" I exclaimed while getting off him and went to the table where Laxus was sitting.

"Did Mira make this?" I asked him while getting my own tea.

"Yeah" he said while getting back to drinking his tea. "Hey! Bunny Girl that hurt!" Gajeel said while getting up and rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well you shouldn't have messed with me and you woke me up soooooo early!" I complained.

"What? you should eat." Gajeel said while taking a seat. "Oh yeah! Where is Mira......and Juvia?" I said while scanning the room.

"Don't know, they said we will meet them at the arena, so you better eat." Laxus said. Gajeel was munching on some iron while Laxus was still drinking his tea peacefully. How dare those to leave me with these idiotic men! I thought to myself.

Meanwhile I took my own tea and bread. While going to the balcony and sitting on a chair, overlooking the city.

I was thinking about me and Gray's chat last night. And then it lead to my thought about Natsu, will I forgive him or not?

"Awww, bunny girl is emoting." Gajeel mocked while leaning on the balcony door.

"Making an entrance are we?" I said giving a smirk. I remember his song "Best Friend". Making an entrance at the guild before Lisanna came.

I missed those moments. "Well you know me." he said while crunching some iron.

"About this morning, you know about what you said, just curious but why would Levy care?" Gajeel asked. I was confused at what he was saying when I remebered when we were walking back to the inn.

*Flashback*

"Man I'm full! I ate to much iron." Gajeel said patting his belly.

"Geez what would Levy-chan say if she sees you like this." Lucy said to him.

"What are you talking about?! Why would shrimp even bother?" Gajeel asked suspiciously.

"So oblivious" Mira said disappointed.

"Poor Levy" Juvia added.

"Oh now this is my fault. Hmph!" Gajeel pouted while crossing his arms.

*End of Flashback*

"Oh that, Mira was right, oblivious indeed." I said while taking a sip of my tea. "Hey I am not, but I am oblivious about this morning." He said while crossing his arms.

We stayed silent until Gajeel started singing to himself. "Shubidubba.....Shubbidubaaaaa, lalalalalalala." He wasn't bad but HE was annoying.

Then I remembered I brought bread with me. I leaned on the table and I then stuffed the bread in Gajeel's mouth. "Shubidu......Mmph" he said trying to speak but I shoved it in deep.

"That will shut you up." I said while getting back into position. He chomped the bread down then said, "Hah critics, they never understand my talent." He said acting like a professional.

"You wish" I said to him. "Gehee, what can I say, only my wishes come true" He said giving a wide grin.

"You're so full of yourself." I said. "Actually I am full, thanks to your bread." He retorted.

"Gajerk!" I fake coughed. "Loooooopy!' Gajeel said smiling, obviously enjoying this.

I was annoyed then I had an idea it might sound wierd but I don't have other options "LEVY LOVER!" I shouted.

He froze then after a few seconds he started rolling on the floor, laughing so hard. How dare he laugh at my best friend.

"Me...haha.....like shrimp....hahahaggagaga!" He started gagging when I tackled him and he started choking. I strangled him even more. We were.......uhhh how do you call this......mini brawling.

Then I got of him and sat on the floor. He sat straight while rubbing his neck.

"For a girl you pack a lot of strength." He said still rubbing his neck.

"Hey don't look down on girls, especially on Levy!" I said punching him lightly on the shoulder.

"Pipsqueak? What about her nothing special right?" He said while looking at me curiosly.

"I can't believe.....after......you.....you just.....and then....uggghhhh Nevermind!" I couldn't really put into a sentence on what I was supposed to say but he is still so oblivious.

Then we became silent for a few minutes when..........

"Hey, I'm sorry....." Gajeel said out of nowhere which surprised me. Why was he saying sorry? Did he do something bad? Uhhh again?

"What are you sorry for?" I asked really really confused. He looked at me like I'm oblivious as well but he then spoke. "Geez, about before when I attacked your best friend, the guild, and especially when I tortured you.....I'm sorry...."

I was surprised, he is never this open but at the same time it made me feel like a special friend to him it made me glad. But I have already forgiven him, doesn't he know that?

"But I have already forgiven you a long time ago, what's the matter?" This time he was surprised.

"You forgive me just like that. No pay back." Gajeel whispered to himself but because of my dragon hearing, I can hear him loud and clear.

"Of course! You are part of the guild and my friend, and even though if you tortured me back then, I didn't really see a reason to hurt you or have revenge." I said which was the truth even though if he tortured me. I'm fine with it, he is a guild mate now and one of my friends.

"You're really kind hearted, I can't see why I hurt you before." He said while looking at me.

He smirked and gave me his famous 'gehee'. But his smirked changed into a smile showing his canine teeth. I never seen him like this before.

But brushing off the thought, I smiled too showing my canine teeth.

"Thanks Lucy." He said. "No problem, and I don't really like taking revenge nor hold a grudge." When something hit me. I have been holding a grudge on Natsu and Lisanna and I know they were the reasons why I'm like this.

But without them, I would never have met the dragons, never would have experience what I am experiencing now with Gray, Gajeel, Laxus and the rest. Without Natsu and Lisanna, I would not be what I am today.

I was snapped out of my thought when Laxus called. "Come on you two let's go." Gajeel got up, grumbled, and went with Laxus. I followed them then thought to myself.
