Three Months Later
Mr. Domingo looked pissed and frustrated.
He has been working for him for eight years. However, there was one thing his secretary couldn't tolerate: Lenard's women.
"What is it this time, Mr. Domingo?" he asked as he removed the golf gloves from his wrists. He had specifically told Mr. Domingo not to disturb him since it had been a while since they last had the chance to play the sport.
He shook his head, letting out a loud, exasperated sigh. "My apologies, Your Majesty, but Miss Olivia Parkinson has been incessantly calling every five minutes, desperate to check on you. And if that weren't enough, nine other women have phoned in, each claiming to be your girlfriend. They're all eagerly demanding to know when you'll grace them with your presence again." Mahaba nitong paliwanag at ngumiti nang tabingi. Halatang aburido.
Napangisi si Lenard. Of course Mr. Domingo can't be mad at him. It's a part of his job. Napabuntong siya. Nah... Women! That's exactly why he avoids getting serious with any of his exes. He finds most women to be annoyingly sentimental and demanding. The ones he's dated are overly dependent, too clingy, and seemingly incapable of handling even the simplest things without his assistance.
He longs for a woman who exudes self-assurance and strength, someone who is kind-hearted yet resilient. A woman who values tradition but also has a spark of spontaneity that makes life vibrant and extraordinary. She should possess the confidence to speak her mind, unafraid to challenge him, and feel at ease in his presence, creating a sense of harmony and excitement.
He'd never encountered anyone quite like her before—well, perhaps he had. The memory of that stubborn and infuriating woman from the market suddenly flashed in his mind. That was the first and only time a woman had hurled insults at him—and a slipper too. She didn't care about his noble lineage or high standing. Her fearless attitude intrigued him, and he couldn't help but find her kind of... cute, especially when she was mad.
Whoa! That's a first—he actually just complimented a girl! Whew!
Confident, free-spirited, and completely unafraid of him? And, well, he can't deny that she's quite attractive. Her face is still etched in his memory, especially those captivating emerald eyes—so rare and utterly mesmerizing. To be honest, gusto niya ulit itong makita.
