Chapter 2

Leif's POV

"That's how you greet old friends? Ava?"

I flinched by the sudden voice as I turned my neck slightly and found a human.

They're dressed in a brown vest while a white collar shirt ,with the sleeves folded up under the vest itself. Dark blue pants was dressed below their waist and so is black shoes.

In their grasp, none other but the weapon earlier that Ava threw into my face.

They moved their long fringe from their face , revealing a pair of glaoses similar to Rhys's as they walked passed me. Placing the weapon on the table.

They stood in front of Ava , which revealed how tall were they , as they're 3 feet taller than Ava.

"I-I can explain , Os. Just hear me out."
"I know you like that movie , but please don't act. You could've kill that man." They spoke as they stare at me with killer like glares.

"What are you doing in front of my room anyways?"

That door.... This door knob's owner.... was belonged to this creepy unknown human?

"T-They d-didn't mean to do anything. They're just curious with what's in your-"

"Have they heard the phrase 'Curiosity kill the cat' ? Or.... demons?" I looked at them with widened eyes ad I remembered we were dressed in our Daemos attire with our horns revealed.

"Leif , knock them out!"
"On it!" I exclaimed as I quickly phased behind them , preparing to knock them out.

By a flash , my arm , leg and back was hit by a strong pinch as I felt my body parts were unable to move and fell onto the ground hardly.

"I will take the fainting technique as a pass , Ava. Besides , an explanation would do." They answered Ava as Princess Ava only stuttered in respond as they squatted down to me.

"I believe my chiblocking skills never gets old huh?"
"I believe my bones were gonna crack..." I muttered as Ava begun to beg the human for releasing me from such magic.

They only sighed as they begun to mutter about Ava being over kindly while releasing me from the spell. I took deep breaths as I felt my body was free from such evil grasp of magic while Pierce gave me a hand and pulled me up.

"Who are you by the way? Why were you in this household?" Asch demanded answers as he pulled Ava behind his back from the human. The human seemingly smirk but soon appeared emotionless to Asch.

"I lived here , got an issue?"

"I mean , your identity , human. And don't talk to me in such tone."
"Prince Asch , I believe this human wasn't as easy as we thought they would be. They seemed to have an affair with Princess Ava."

Ava's POV

"HAHA! Three months , Ava , and you became princess? Of which nation?" Oscar said as I looked away from them. Asch , on the other hand , was kinda in rage by Oscar's.... half-humiliation-and-half-fact.

He grabbed them by the collar as they were lifted up from the ground.

"Mind your manners , commoner. You have absolutely no idea who you were talking to." Asch growled as Oscar gave him a blank stare , proceeded opening their mouth.

"Prince Asch was it? I have no offense that your name rhymes with ashes."

"O-Oscar , enough is enough. You gotten a bit over the line." I stood up against them as they sighed , muttering 'Whatever'.

"Asch , put them down please. They didn't mean it." I begged as Asch harshly dropped them on the ground , making them groan in pain and agony.

"Harsh."
They muttered as they were pulled up by me , then walked back to their room by unlocking the door.

"*sigh* Thank god they didn't do anything to you boys."
"Who were they? Why are they acting so.... mean?" Noi questioned as I can see him trembling in fear.

I walked to him , patting him by the back , as I told the Daemos to take a seat , finally telling them the truth.

Rhys's POV

"Their name was Oscar. They're my roommates. Well, at least it only lasted for 2 months long before she was called to work." Ava said while rubbing her arm.

"They're from a high class family but they were somehow ended up renting my place for staying. Don't ask me why I have absolutely no idea."

"They're a designer in fact. A type of job where humans created amazing attire and outfits. They were... cold outside and hot by the inside. They were actually very nice by fact."

"I have not seen the fact of it." Leif said as he crossed his arms.

"That room was theirs by the truth. They mentioned not to enter or else sue me to the police , for invading their privacy. That's why I was trying to keep things and troubles away from you guys , since.... things happened a bit too fast for us."

So.... all of that was just to get us away from trouble from that human....

"We're... well... We're sincerely sorry that we didn't know the truth beneath that door , Princess Ava." I apologized as she shrugs it off.

"Yeah sure , Ava. Whatever you said , was INDEED true. And what , should I apologising for my threatening when you legitimately have 5 unknown males who were dressed in cosplay IN your apartment?"

I turned my head and found the human who was now dressed in a red and black collar shirt with a black undershirt , with black tights below. Their hair was in a mess and dripping in wet.

"They didn't mean to just bust in my apartment , Oscar. It's just-"
"Yeah Yeah , it's just a lend of help. I know , you said that last time then you were now some god damn babysitter of demons. Isn't it just great?"

"You-!" Before Asch could stood up and fight the human , Ava insisted by grabbing him by the wrist as she moved her hand , gesturing to calm himself down.

"Anyway , I'm going to hit the sack. See you guys in morning and don't enter my room. Let's just say , you all were gonna have a bad time waking this human up..." They warned us as they walked to their room ,slamming and shutting the doors by next.

"Well , that's a threat."
"Yes." Pierce agreed with Leif's statement.

"Well , apparently we couldn't do anything since Oscar just warned us. But seriously , don't phase into her room , especially you Leif."

"Yeah , Yeah, I got it."
"I mean it," Ava warned Leif as she then let us take a break as she went back to her room for rest.

"That human..."
"Was dangerous..."
"A-And scary in fact..." Noi added to Leif and my statement.

"They seemed to be a threat to us. We must be aware with them. Especially with our magic. We still have not gotten a clue of the occupation and powers."

"Truly."
"Indeed."
"Yes."

"Get some rest. Let's call it a day off. There might be a lot more going on tomorrow."
Asch orders as we returned to our chambers.
