Chapter 14

Asch's POV

"What do you mean , you got sick human?"
I quietly remain seated as Noi questioned Oscar some....overly odd questions.

"It's just the ray-in.... Staying under that shit will just constantly break down your immune system.... But , what can I say. It only proves that you Daemos have a higher immune system compared to humans , if Rhys ended up not getting sick...."
She muttered in a weak like voice.

After Noi took his leave , I turned my head to find Oscar in a black tight shirt and tight pants as her hair was tied in a pigtail. I quietly moved behind her as I playfully played with her hair.

"W-What are you doing Asch?..."
She asked me with a cracked voice by the start of her sentence.
"I should be asking with that cracked voice of yours. Did Rhys done this to you?"
"Pssh , no. I thought I have just mentioned that it was the ray-in doing its job..."
She said while her hand moved to her hair , scratching her messy hair. It was then I noticed the redness on her face.

"Your face.... Was much more similar when Princess Ava gone sick as well."
"Well , you have a point there. I was... kinda verified to be sick...."
She said like it was nothing as she took a slip of water , only to be choked on as she coughed copious amounts of times.

"You needed to rest , human."
"I will pass on that."
Looking at her stubbornness , I simply scooped her up from the ground , taking her to her chamber.

Placing her gently on her bed , pulling the sheet over her body , I sat on her bed as I looked at her quietly and slowly falling into her slumber. The peace and quiet moment of hers was alluring as her pomegranate red lips were shining under the sun through the revealed window next to her bed. Her hair was scattered on her white pillow as her hand was right to her white fur like blanket.

With my hand grabbing hers , rubbing on her knuckles , I placed a small caress on hers , whispered to let her rest as I dismissed myself from the human's chamber.

Rhys's POV

Rhys.....
I looked towards the voice , as I find Oscar who was just standing there... with a menacingly look.

Have you seriously forgotten? Our promise?
I tilted my head as I walked to her , feeling like it was a question needed to be answered by her.

You left me alone , were you in that much of eagerness to find your real self?
"What are you talking about , Oscar? We have just met suns ago. And you bring up the topic of.... something that I even felt perplexed with."

That fall was harsh , wasn't it?
Don't you felt a hint of regret for dropping from such high ground?
Don't you felt a hint of regret for forgetting to fulfill your promise between us?
A wave of questions came towards me as I grabbed my head in pain .

Rhys , we're in great trouble and I guarantee you know that. The small doll house like nation needed expansion , I can't do this without your assistance. You know me , stubborn and only stuck in my box of mind.
My eyes moved upwards to find Oscar's body begun to glitch , to find another figure there.

I can't tell , but I can hear her....

Rhys , do you remember anything now?

I jumped from the ground to find myself in the spell pool , recalling my head on what I was doing. I remember my body was extraordinarily weak and I decided decided to put my work aside and have a quick soak in the spell pool. Yet , that....odd , black void like dream happened....

Why was Oscar in my dream?
Why is she telling all those things?
What does she mean we're in great trouble?
Who was.... her ?

Lifting up my drained body to the edge as I dried my body up and walked out the room to find myself face to face with Noi who was a worried expression.
I then questioned him as he responded with Oscar being sick in bed.
