Chapter 17

Rhys's POV

W...What was that sound?....

And what was... forget me not?

I lifted up my body from the mattress to only find my spell book by the side table with my glaoses on top of the brown coloured golden trimmed cover book , and my lower body part was covered up with my blanket.

Had someone came into my room?... If that was a statement , then who was the unknown being?...

It couldn't be Oscar , could it be? I mean , she was quite wide awake the moment we did the apologising ritual as those words sounded like something more like words of a dream....

But they.... they just.... doesn't sound like one.... Yet it was oddly familiar.... Perhaps a reply from her would make questions in my head have a direction pointed to.

After getting dressed in my human attire , I walked out of the chamber to find Oscar who was putting on some white shoes and was dressed in a black tight sleeveless shirt under a white collar shirt and black pants. I can see the red bandage of hers under the white sleeve. Her expression seems nervous.... But why...?

Secretly following her , and even hiding from her , I followed her to a glass made house that stood by the side of a huge cliff. With my invisible spell on , I quietly walked into the nature filled house as I attempted to look around for the figure.

I can't legit loss her in this small house with plants , would I?

'*sigh* Great , where the hell am I?'
I thought to myself as I turned my neck from the back and have my face slapped against the huge green leaf from nowhere.

I have not expected the house to have this much great amounts of green life like plants. It was small on the outside, yet huge like the woods in Daemos. I have finally learnt on what they meant by don't judge a book by its cover..... Rubbing my weakly pain like scent on my face , I heard a weak and soft voice somewhere around here....

La~ La~ La~

I quietly moved the leaves that had been in my way as I find Oscar who was standing by a opened glass window that was drawn with a floral pattern. She seemed distracted by something outside of the window but neither I could walk out from my hiding place, or I can bury my curiosity deep down.

As I attempted to get closer to her , I only found myself in the way with some green and red coloured plant with white teeth like object pointed outwards. By my once again emerged curiosity , I squatted down to observe the fascinating looking creature of Ear-th.

It was then when a small black winged spirit flew into its soft looking mouth. In a quick second , it slammed shut , seemingly.... consuming the spirit?!?!!

Stumbled a bit by the shockness , I fell onto the moss covered ground as I witnessed on that cunning scene of an innocent plant. Kinda reminded me of Noi for no reason at all-

This world.... sure has its horrifying moments.... Especially when a plant just ate a spirit out of nowhere. Does that mean....

I better get the hell out of here.

As I turned my neck to find another of those similar spirit consuming plants , I panicked as I stepped on a branch , occurring quite a sound. I turned to pray if Oscar have not notice me-

"W-Where did she go?!"
I feared for no reason as I dashed out from my hiding spot and attempt to look for the walking away figure in this huge monstrosity. Almost stumbled by the vines or roots on the ground , I have actually to return to the temporary base as I was aware that Ava might be worried or something....
