Chapter 75

Rhys's POV

"Uhhh...?"
I groaned as I opened my blue eyes with the light shining right into my face Before I can move , I found Ocellus who's body was heavily resting on my arm. I smiled by the peaceful look of my loved one as I laid back on the bed with my hand touching her warm smooth cheek. She moved a little before moved to my chest and snuggled up to the warmth of my body.

I placed a soft caress on her forehead which apparently stirred her awake.
"Hmm? M-Morning , Rhys."
"Morning Ocellus. Sorry if I stirred you awake by now. You can rest back."
I apologized as Ocellus shook her head , with her arms snaked around my back and said , "No , let's just stay like this for a while before I show you the place that I was meant to show you ever since we first met..."
She muttered out before her face buried in my chest , cuddling up with me. I smiled and cuddled her back.

Wonder what could the place be....?

"You better be on behave now. I swear to god , we really need to go."
N.B whimpered as Ocellus put on the saddle on his back before turned to me and asked , "Ready? For everything that you were meant to know?"
Ocellus's glances sure sent me shivers down my spine but I agreed with her as we both hopped on N.B and took off.

The whole journey was silent , with only the wind blow across our hair and the feathered creatures flew across our heads. I looked at Ocellus who's seemed serious with what was going to happen. I asked Ocellus if she was alright , yet she responded me with quite an simple respond.

"Rhys , we're flying here. Would you mind to stay silent for a minute or two?"

As what I know , Ocellus's would only get so mad when something was not by her expectations. I think she was kinda mad with the fact N.B legit ran away yesterday and may or may not messed up her plans. She did specified that N.B was totally prepared for this , yet seemed to have a change of mind by retreating , letting me staying over at Ocellus's chamber for the night.

I was still questioned by why was she being so serious about this...?
Not to mention , having the need to abandon her fellow gods and goddesses on Daemos just to bring me here alone. Wonder if that was actually necessary , even to abandon her own biological sister on Daemos just to bring me here?

"W-Woah , N.B!!!"
Ocellus shouted as N.B suddenly stopped by a floating island even accidentally bumping into one of the cliff that were surrounded with vines , lessening the pain. Ocellus breathed sharply as she rubbed the arm that was bumped into. I was immediately worried as I questioned if Ocellus is doing just fine.

"Just a little scratch. I'll be fine. And anyways , we have arrived , Rhys."
Ocellus said in fully emotionless as she got down from N.B , landed by one of floating platforms that led to the island itself. I quickly hopped off as she urged me to quickly catch up and walked up to the island.

The environment is totally creepy as the trees were all appeared to be dying and leaves were falling from the branches. The ground was covered with roots appearing out of the ground and foliage that was already died , remained decomposing on the ground. There are scary voices echoing the forest , clearly sending shivers down my spine. I even gotten so distracted to the point I almost tripped over by a root.

"Be careful , I didn't come here for a while so the cleaning wasn't really much done by me."
Ocellus claimed as she continued walking down until we both reached a cave that was seemingly endless , along with glowing berries attached to the vines that were hung by the entrance.

"Alright now , move in."
"Ocellus , how far till the end?"
My impatience asked as she simply gave a glance before pushing me into the entrance , which eventually brightening my eyes and found myself being in a sky clear environment with trees that grew with pink leaves and red trunk.
