Chapter 45

Ava's POV

It had been at least a week ever since the demons was disappointed on the fact their goddess , Ocellus told them to have a new god to be adored by them.

If talking in their perspective , they would have just went to either Ocellus or Orizon's room to question about this situation , since they're quite bold in action.

But now...

Why were they here annoying me?!?
In fact early in the morning , when I was just having my good night sleep?!
I believe they came to request me to ask Ocellus about it , since a girl would talk much to a girl , than being a busybody boy. But this was Ocellus we're talking about alright?! A goddess who was disguised as a creepy Beast before this?! That job would be too hard to be settled!

"Please Ava , we need your help with this!"

"To the eighteenth layer of hell , I'm not doing it!"
I said looking away from them. Not like I don't want to , but....

After what Beast said , I have trust issues over them. They once wanted to use me to bring humans to their world , Ocellus's world to be specific. But this time , I wonder what was the price for trusting them once again....

"Ava please , you're the only one who can help us."

"Not when you guys... attempted to use me for the sake of your nation..."
I said out loud as I noticed the expression of the boys changed. They must either felt bad with the truth to be told , or shocked for me knowing they're about to use me once and for all.

"Ava , " I turned to Rhys who have his knees kneeled on the ground , "I know you're still angry with us. We would know this , since humans can very much hold a grudge towards someone. Indeed , our intention was first to bring humans to Ear-th , for the sake of survival. But when we arrived here , and meeting with you , we felt something here."

"We felt like ourselves here. We can be who we wanted to be here , instead of hiding our true selves from being judged. But , even so , Daemos was still our home. Without Ocellus for stability of magic , Daemos might fall and forever gone. Please , you needed to ask , why Ocellus hated us..."

What?
Ocellus? Hated them?
For what reason? Won't she felt proud with her creation or she has high hopes , perhaps they have not reached her expectation? But seriously , tell me how when they're total hot sexy demons with different personalities , making you feel like a princess in a fairy tale.

"But it's fine if you don't want to assist us. We would understand."
Rhys said as he stood up , then walking to the door with the others. I looked at them , realizing if their world was gone , was there a chance that they vanished as well?

They're my several friends that I actually talked to , other than Lorelai. They're my roommates , who I have fun and shared my happiness with. If they're gone , I can't do anything like I usual do. Because , they're part of my world. I'm fine with them leaving , who knows there's a chance of us meeting once more , but them disappearing forever?...

If I successfully found the reason Ocellus hated them and let them changed from within , wouldn't it all be a win-win situation? Not only they can be alive , also I can meet them till the day comes.

Immediately , I stood up from my bed as I blocked their way to the door. As they're incredibly confused , I coughed awkwardly , as I spoke , "Well , you guys didn't tell me what I was meant to ask her about. So , how in the world am I meant to provide assistance?"

"You're... going to help us , Ava?"

"Why won't I? I mean , we're friends. Besides , you guys don't deserve to be gone..."
I muttered the end of the sentence before was tackled by Noi with a hug.

"Thank you , Princess Ava. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!"

"Y-Yeah , you can let go now... I need to breath , N-Noi..."

"Let her go , Noi! You're killing her before me!"

Second person's POV

Ocellus was currently reading some records of her own family , not until a knock on the door interrupted her twisted mind. Being frustrated , she walked to the door to find Ava with a tray of a plate of Catalan Cream and a cup of Sangria that was still cold.

"Hey Ocellus. Just wanna check on you."

Ocellus looked at the human as she let Ava in her chamber. Ava looked around her environment and was shocked. Purple and gold trim as wall colour , a queen sized bed , a desk with study supplies , along side with a bookshelf and closet.

"Are you done here? You can put the tray on my desk instead of carrying throughout the session."
Ocellus said as Ava panicked for a second , before putting down the tray of food. Ocellus glanced at the human before sitting on her bed with her fur blanket in her grip as she questioned ,

"Who sent you here? My sister or the boys?"

"Y-You know?!"
Ava said shockingly , she was surprised by this goddess who read minds , knowing her intentions.

"The boys must have sent you for answers. While you went to ask my sister of my favourite desserts , in order to let me speak out at least one or two points , for the sake of those. Correct me if I'm wrong."
Ocellus said with her hand crossed by her chest as Ava looked to her feet in shame. Ocellus sighed as she used magic to transfer the desserts to her bed , as she grabbed the Sangria and munched on the Catalan Cream spoon by spoon.

"Go on , don't just stand there , ask me."

"W-What? Really?"
Ocellus motioned the human to sit by the bed along with her.

"Apparently , the bribe had succeeded. What do the boys wanted to ask about?"
Ocellus questioned as Ava had her hand gripped against the bed-sheet.

"Will the demons be alive , even your're not their goddess anymore?"
Ocellus looked at Ava's hopeful eyes as she let out a laugh , claimed , "It sounded more like a 'From Ava' question. Seriously , that's what you're worried of? Quite funny I would say."

Ocellus looked at Ava's eyes that reflected worries before sighed and answered seriously with her drink in hand , "Don't worry , they'll be still alive. Just that Daemos doesn't have a stable source of magic to hold on. They have live , exactly like humans."

"T-Thank god..."
Ava heaved a sigh of relief as Ocellus realized something. The fact she had exposed the true purposes of the demons befriended with her , yet she was currently here , assisting the demons out , hoping them to survive at the upcoming rough times.

"I was jealous with one thing..."
Ava looked at the goddess who was mixing the drink with the spoon playfully , being surprised for being told being jealous of by a goddess.

"The fact you forgave those boys so fast. After what they done to you , you're even almost being sent to death's door , somehow survived , yet your kindness was what sent warmth to their hearts.What makes you , a human , able to forgive those boys?"
Ava looked at Ocellus's brown eyes as she said , "Perhaps... It was the fact , you know their time was coming up sooner or later. Instead of letting grudge and anger take over , why not forgiveness instead? Being anger and regret for eternity was never the best medicine after all."

Ocellus looked at the human. She finds it funny for the fact , she was being lectured by a low ranked human , where her creation called her 'Sorceress' and 'Princess'.

"Does... her goddess feel angry over something , long time ago?" Ocellus stunned by the question , but quickly went back to the situation , answered , "Yes , in fact , I could never forgive till this day. I can still see the scene flashing in my head."

"Perhaps , it was best to let them go and move on."

"Like I would , their mistakes , were what made me this day. I learned from them , to not repeat them. Yet... those lessons were too wise and deep to be understood of."
Ocellus said as she chugged the entire Sangria drink in her cup.

Before Ava was officially dismissed , she was just reminded of another question , immediately stopping Ocellus from shutting the door , "Wait , Ocellus!"

"D-Do you hate the demons?"
Ocellus looked at Ava , looking away from her before answered ,

"Only this one certain demon , that I despise. Forever."
