WOOYOUNG POV

After a while of shopping, wooyoung was quite satisfied with his purchases. he hadn't bought a lot of stuff but it was just enough to support himself and his two best friends. plus it's not like they needed a lot of stuff either. as he walked through the small streets, a sudden smell of burning suddenly caught the young man's eye and he took another look towards the castle.

The smell was coming from that direction. it was rather strange, what kind of 5 star chef could burn something so intensely that it was felt in the village? it seemed a bit fishy to the young man.

"Even I have better skills than that. Then, how can the prince accept such a thing huh?" should he go and take a look? But at the same time, it's none of his business, right?

"No woo. don't do anything you might regret later. and why do I care anyway, they can handle themselves well" he said quietly trying to convince himself.

which didn't work since he couldn't help but turn back and move a little closer to get a better view on the castle. there was definitely something wrong , but it was impossible to quite see why.

why was his curiosity so intense? why did he feel the need to get closer?

The young man tried to convince himself that he had no business being so curious, especially not after what happened the other night. plus it was still really fresh in his mind.

wooyoung was so deep in thought that he didn't even notice that he wondered right in the middle of the street.

"do you plan to stand there and block circulation for much longer?" a voice from behind Wooyoung startled him.

He turned around and found himself face to face with a horse and rider.

he quickly came to his senses as he noticed that he was indeed in the middle of the street blocking the traffic. "o-oh! sorry!" he didn't waste a second more to settle on the side to let the stranger continue his way.

" wait huh , you're pretty cute!

...

"what?! don't look at me like that it's only the truth. anyway, be careful, not all riders would have stopped to avoid stepping on you."

wooyoung nodded slowly as he imagined being trampled on by a horse that was probably three times his weight. a wave of chills ran down wooyoung's spine and he quickly shook off this macabre thought. how nice of the stranger for not walking on him , even tho it's like huh... IDK the bare minimum?
