queen yoon-ah sat in her dimly lit quarters, surrounded by heavy velvet curtains and lit candles. her hands were clasped tightly to her face and her shoulders trembled as she wept. she had lost her husband, the former king, just a few years before and now her only son, the heir to the throne, had been taken from her. she felt a sharp pain in her chest with every thought of him and the reality of life without him seemed unbearable.

little did she know, her son was alive and safely traveling across the kingdom with others. however, she was not aware of this fact, nor that treachery had crept into the palace walls and that she was living alongside those who had plotted against her and her family.

the sun no longer shone in queen yoon-ah's world; she hadn't smiled in days and not even the gardens that were usually so breathtakingly beautiful were able to bring a spark of happiness to her. everywhere  she went in the palace reminded her of him, so even walking near his quarters was almost too much for her heart to bear.

the servants in attendance could feel the weight of their queen's grief and could not leave her alone. in hushed conversations, they tried to come up with a plan to get her out of her chambers so that she could take some fresh air. but they were thwarted by the guards who were charged with keeping the queen confined to her quarters. which was very weird they thought - who could even give orders against the damn queen.

just then, something unexpected happened. suddenly entering her chambers was a young man with blond hair. he was most likely a knight, but the queen did not recognize his freckled spread face. he looked like he was from an entire other kingdom.

the servants noticed the knights who were guarding the doors were knocked down on the floor completely unconscious, meaning the stranger was the one who did so.

the queen turned around, too see what all the commotion was then raised an eyebrow and asked loudly "whatdid you do to my guards?"

the stranger immediately bowed before her. "i apologize your highness, but this was necessary in order to come and enter your chambers, otherwise they wouldn't have let me in. also i'm afraid they aren't your guards anymore.''

the queen was taken aback by the stranger's boldness.

she felt a glimmer of hope, as if the sun had peeked through the gray clouds of her sorrow just from the determination on his face. she wiped off the remaining tears from her face and stood up in front of the stranger, ready to hear what he had to say.

the young knight spoke with conviction, "your highness, i have been sent here with news that might make you happy. your son is alive! he is being kept safe by a group of young men. they are currently traveling across the neighbour kingdom."

the queen's eyes widened in disbelief as she heard his words; could it be true? could her son really be alive? she searched within herself for any sign of doubt but found none. it was then that she realized how much faith she put in this stranger before her, trusting him despite never having met before.
