(UAJWNSJSJAHAHAHAHA, i'm going feral at this picture don't mind me.)
the usually quiet house was overwhelmed with chaos. everyone was walking around in circles in the small rooms, talking over each others loudly.
wooyoung was sitting at the table, staring at the wall. he honestly didn't know how to react to this news. what the hell was happening to them? why was he dragged into all of this? why does he even exist?
the prince was just as shaken as he was. the way his eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes were completely dilated staring into the void, it proved it.
"why would they do that... how could the queen even believe that ??" uttered the guard while pacing fast into the same place. he was holding the letter in his hand and seemed equally overwhelmed by the events. then it's not as if anyone had the answers to the questions everyone were asking.
well... yes, if they dared to go to the palace, but no one was really ready mentally or even physically to venture there. honestly, wooyoung would have preferred not to be dragged into the whole thing, but it's far too late to withdraw. he already had been seen with the prince.
plus it was in his personality trait to naturally help anyone in need. his common sense might tell him to run away but his heart simply could not allow him to do that.
gosh sometimes he hated the way he thought. if only he could be selfish FOR once. he couldn't help but think about what his parents would say if they could be here.
"do you have many ennemies your majesty?"
yunho asked out of the blue and stopped walking to sit down at the table with the two other guys.the young prince glanced slowly at him and subtly smiled despise having his eyes devoid of any sort of happiness.
"i'm an asshole, i'm everyone's enemy." he finally said after a very painful silence in the room.
"that's fair enough." continued yeosang, with a slight smirk dancing on his pale face.
wooyoung almost felt bad knowing that his friends had some anger against him but it's not like he could blame them. it wasn't unsolicited, quite the contrary actually. the prince was far from being a saint that's for sure. after everything he did to wooyoung he should be feeling the same way as his besties... however, he simply couldn't. like yeah ok that night was humiliating and he most likely will still think about it for a couple of years but... he could see how hopeless the young prince was. it was painful even for him to just see someone losing themselves without even realizing it. maybe humour was a way for the young prince to cope but it was quite apparent it was just a face.
wooyoung sighed heavily and looked down at his hands that he joined together in a fist.
he almost reminded him of himself. hopeless. he also probably praying that his mom was safe.
wooyoung knew how that felt. he didn't want to rub salt in the wound that was already wide open. many would say it's a flaw to have empathy for people like that but it is what it is.
