the guys were gathered in a small room filled with equipment and useful things. mingi had brought them to his childhood home, where he had trained to become a guard. his family was not around at the moment, so they had managed to sneak in without any commotion. as they sat in a circle, the atmosphere was heavy and thick with silence. no one seemed to dare say the first word.

san was still in shock, unable to process everything that had happened. his mind was struggling to come to terms with the truth. it was like a glitch in his mind, and he had never imagined this would happen. he had seen the dead body of his so-called father when he died. he had lived through that traumatic experience, how could he have been so easily deceived?

san couldn't help but wonder if his mother had been aware of the truth. most likely not, as she had been just as devastated as he was when his father had supposedly died. the weight of betrayal was heavy on his chest, and he couldn't shake off the feeling of disgust and anger.

if it was really his father behind everything, then why did he do it? why did he throw his own son in a cell? san's mind was spiralling with all sorts of thoughts, leaving him staring blankly at the white wall. he felt a sense of confusion, anger and hurt all at once. he had trusted his father, and now his world had been turned upside down. he couldn't fathom how someone he had loved and respected could have done something so cruel to him and his family.

he was lost in thought, thinking about everything that had happened in the past few days. wooyoung had been kidnapped, and he couldn't forgive his father for putting him in danger. the thought of losing the one person he cherished the most was too much to bear.

suddenly, a hand reached out to him, and san looked up to see wooyoung standing in front of him. there was a hint of sadness in his eyes, but the prince could also see the genuine support in his gaze. he felt a wave of relief wash over him - wooyoung was safe for the moment. but how long till his father came for them again?

the prince couldn't help but feel anger towards father for kidnapping wooyoung and hurting him with ropes. he noticed a small scar on wooyoung's  neck, a reminder of how close he had come to losing him. this was the scar of a sword being a little too close to wooyoung.

it was one of the worst things his father had ever done, aside from faking his own death.

the incident had left a deep impact on san, causing him to withdraw from the world and isolate himself for months before speaking to anyone again. his coping mechanisms for his father's death had earned him the nickname of "cold-hearted prince," but now that he realized that his father was still alive, all his mourning and coping seemed to have been in vain.

san stood up with a renewed sense of determination and declared "we need to take my father down. send him to the grave for real this time."

the other guys, especially jongho and seonghwa, who had grown up with san during the tragedy, nodded in agreement and pledged their support.
