ATHALEIGH'S POV

I was texting on my phone while entering the elevator. Halos masira ko na ang screen ng phone ko sa diin ng pagpipindot doon. Why is she not answering my text? Umalis kaya siya?

I clenched my jaw.

Me:

I swear if you're not going to text me back, you will sleep on the couch tonight.

Inis ko nilagay ang phone pabalik sa bulsa ko. Sumandal ako sa elevator habang hinihintay makarating sa ika-limang palapag. Why doesn't she reply back? Please don't tell me she's mad again this time.

Parang nag-aalaga ako ng bata. I scoffed and just shook my head. Bumukas na ang elevator at saktong sakto may tumawag sa phone ko. Tamad ko ito kinuha habang kinukuha ang card sa bulsa ko.

I put the keys on the table for Artemis, so she can enter the condo whenever she wants when I'm not around.

"What's up?" I said lazily.

"Hoy, Leigh! May sinasabi kamo si Avianna, may tinatago ka daw sa condo mo!" Keidon's laugh made my head hurt.

Natigilan ako sa pagbubukas ng room. Tinatago? How did they know?

Oh fuck, Avianna came here. Shit, why did I forget that Artemis is here? Baka ano isipin niya. Napabuntong hininga na lang ako.

"Oh?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Huy, sino yan? May lalaki ka na ah, Leigh-- Keidon, it's not it!" Sumingit si Avianna sa linya. Napairap ako.

Binuksan ko na ang pinto at hinayaan ang dalawa mag bangayan sa kabilang linya. Inipit ko ang phone sa pagitan ng aking tenga st balikat. I arched my eyebrows when I saw the bedroom closed.

Did she clean?

It's not actually super clean like the floor is bright from cleaning agent, but she fixed the things that were scattered on the floor. Oh? She's learning something from me. That's good. Tahimik ang salas kaya kumunot ang noo ko.

It's already 10:45 am, almost lunch, is she still sleeping?

"Leigh, ignore him! Hindi mo naman kasi sinabi na may tao ka diyan sa condo mo." Sabi ni Avianna sa linya. I almost forgot that they're still on the line.

"Yeah, yeah, accidentally forgot it. I need to hang up, may sasabihin ka pa ba?" Tanong ko habang tinatanggal ang sapatos sa gilid ng pinto.

"Nothing! Sige, bye! Enjoy!" And she hang up

Enjoy? Where am I? At the party?

I rolled my eyes and threw my phone on the couch. I went to the refrigerator to get something to drink. I leaned my hips against the counter while drinking, my eyes on the bedroom's door.

She's using the air conditioner again. Tataas na naman ang bill ko nito, I massaged my temple before I let out a sigh. I ran my fingers through my hair before opening the door to check on her.

I told her that we will go grocery, why is she not preparing yet? When I opened the door, my eyes widened with the view.

The cold room welcomed me, the coolness of the atmosphere making my body fresh from hot weather earlier. The curtains were half opened. She loves the view and I know it.

From this room, you can see the buildings and wide blue sky above.

My eyes landed on the bed. I catched my breath when I saw her lying down on my bed, hugging my pillow tightly and her messy blonde hair covering her face. Her face was calm and resting, her attractive plump lips were closed and her eyes also.
