Chapter 30

"Thank you for the ride."

He just smiled and nodded his head. He put his hands inside his pocket. Hindi ko akalain na magtatagal ako sa shop na iyon. Harry really helped me big time, he was fun to talk to not until his friends came in.

"Are you sure you're okay? I mean..." He's talking about Leigh obviously. He probably noticed my silent treatment after Leigh entered that shop. The tension between us is recognizable.

"You're seriously asking me that after you didn't mention that she would come?" Magkasalubong na kilay kong sabi.

He laughed.

"Diba sabi ko na doon rin punta ko kaya sinabay na kita? We're planning to meet up there." Natatawang sabi niya.

"So sinasadya mo nga?" Naiirita kong sabi.

"Kinda'." Napairap na lang ako sa sinabi niya.

"Kung ganon lumayas ka na sa harapan ko, traydor." I glared at him. He just chuckled.

"Alright, just call me if you need me-"

"For comfort purposes again?" Taas kilay na sabi ko.

He smirked.

"Well, I can do more than that." He licked his bottom lip. Natigilan ako pero hindi ko pinahalata.

"You're a flirt, okay bye." Tinalikuran ko siya kaya humalakhak siya. I'm in the urge to break his bones!

Nang makapasok ako sa loob, nakita ko si Anne na mukhang paalis pa lang. Nagulat pa siya nang makita ako at nahuli ko ang pagkailang sa mukha niya.

"Artemis! You're back. I have to go somewhere, hm? Your parents are not here, they're preparing for your brother's birthday-"

"Umalis ka na kung aalis ka." Malamig na sabi ko at humakbang sa hagdan. Natahimik siya bigla.

I can't forget the fact she let Jake in. She didn't ask for my permission. I know it sounds like a little problem but for me it's a big deal. She didn't even say a sincere apology.

And I don't want to hear something about my parents again. I'm already aware that they're preparing a huge party for their favorite son so no need to rub it in my face.

"A-artemis, you know that your parents love you right? Huwag mo sana masamain ang ginagawa nila para sa kapatid mo. Malay mo mas malaki ang party na ihahanda nila para sa'yo!" Ngiting sabi niya.

I exhaled in disbelief.

"You can say that to young Artemis besides, it's her dream wish." I gave her a short smile before I went upstairs. Narinig ko na lang siya na nagbuntong hininga.

Pagpasok ko sa loob ay agad ako nagpalit ng damit. Nakaramdam pa rin ako ng pagod kahit wala naman kami masyado ginawa kundi magkwentuhan.

I can't help but to remember Leigh's face.

She looks okay. It's like she already moved on from us. How could she do that easily? Why can't I do the same? I badly wanted to move on but something inside me was stopping me.

Hindi ko mapigilan ngumiti ng mapait. I wonder how she sleeps at night knowing the hurtful words she said to me?

Nagbuntong hininga na lang ako.

Nilibang ko ang sarili ko sa panonood sa aking phone. Tanging YouTube lang ang ginagamit ko ngayon at iniiwasan buksan ang mga social media dahil alam ko na makikita ko na naman siya doon.

I'm already full so I don't have any plans to eat dinner later. Didiretsuhin ko na lang tulog ko at hindi na babangon. Nakakatamad rin naman bumaba lalo na kapag ang mga magulang ko ang sasalubong sa akin.
