"Why not? I already said it to my father." I complained to Selena in another line. I heard her sigh. 

"No, I'm not going." Mariin niyang sabi. 

"It's just a lunch with my parents and Uncle Richard, if you want I could tell to grandma about this so she can also come–"

"Do you want your grandma to die of a heart attack, Athaleigh Swishrein? Do you really think she wanted to see her husband's daughter from another woman?" Naiirita niyang sabi. 

Oh, she got a point. But still, my father wants it and so am I. That's why I make it private just for us without her other siblings. Because I knew it would make her awkward. 

"Kahit na, ano ba inaasikaso mo na parang busy na busy ka?" Singhal ko. 

"What about you? Aren't you supposed to be working your ass off? I have a date, don't ask further." She warned.

"Oh, who is it? Hannah? The woman I saw on your contact list? Or maybe Freya?" I smirked while reading something on my laptop. 

"I just said don't ask further, goodness. Don't disturb me or else I'll make your girlfriend come here." She grinned. My lips parted in disbelief. 

"You dumbass–" she ended the call right away, and didn't want to hear my wrath. 

I frowned in annoyance. I rested my head on the back of my seat. I've never been so bored and tired of my work like this, I want to see Artemis. But she seems so busy for her runway event in Paris. Good thing na hindi pa siya umaalis. 

I called Artemis on the phone. I put my legs on the table while waiting for her to answer my call. 

"Yes, babe?" 

Napaayos ako ng upo nang marinig ang boses niya. 

"Where are you?" I asked quickly.

"I'm still in my office, malapit na ang flight ko. Are you sure you're not able to go with me?" I can hear her sad tone. I bet she's pouting her kissable lips right now. 

I sighed heavily and massaged my temple while staring at all the papers scattered on my table. I still have the next case, sumakto pa sa araw kung kailan ang fashion show ni Artemis. 

"I can't, love. I'm sorry." I made my tone more sad and depressed so it can be effective. Fortunately, the next case will be in Paris also. My client is one of the big celebrities so I really have to take this seriously. 

Malayo lang nga ito sa venue kung saan mangyayari ang fashion show ni Artemis. But I know I will make it in just time. 

"It's okay, your work is more important. I'll just call okay? Don't forget to eat on time." She whispered softly. I smiled. 

"I love you." Those words just slipped out of my mouth without thinking. 

Natigilan siya ng ilang sandali na tila hindi inaasahan ang mga katagang iyon. 

"I love you too, babe. Always." She said slowly, savoring the words. I chuckled. 

After a short conversation with Artemis, I immediately told my secretary to prepare my private jet. I need to come there earlier than Artemis, I have to finish my job at the right time so I wouldn't miss her fashion show. 

I left the law firm, I met my team and assistant who are waiting for my arrival with my private jet on the back. They greeted me happily and welcomed my presence, I just nodded. 

I asked my assistant to prepare all of my papers so I could study the case properly. The private flight attendant gave me a glass of champagne. 

"Here's your drink, ma'am. Anything else?" She smiled seductively. She's not wearing her uniform properly, she has her own style where she exposed her cleavage willingly.
