I walk up to the European-style home. Shaking my head I open the door and walk in towards the living room.
I can't believe my name is on the title of this house. I would've never thought I'd own something like this.
The foyer is a big open space with a staircase on the left, the stairwell is all glass and I'm happy I'm not the one who has to clean those. In the middle of the room, is a round table with a big vase full of white flowers. My heels click on the white marble floor.
Everything inside is mostly modern except for some of the original stone walls and accents around the house. I'm so happy some of the original beams are still intact as well.
I find Calvin sitting on the cream-colored couch texting on his phone. As soon as he hears my steps he looks up and his blue eyes sparkle. He looks me up and down while smiling and my heart flutters with want.
"House is furnished." He smugly looks around and extends his arms to showcase the place.
I smile, "I see." I sit next to him, pecking him on the lips, "You did a very good job, my love."
He hums, wrapping his hand behind my neck and deepening the kiss. His tongue meets mine and he grunts.
"We can't stay, can't we?"
I smile against his lips, "I'm sorry."
"We got a lead!" I hear Bunny's voice boom from the hallway that leads to Calvin's study.
Coming into the living room, carrying a laptop and setting it down on the coffee table. His eyes are wide with excitement.
"Hello! I'm here!" Ruth calls out from the front door.
Shit, I forgot to tell her to come by later since I had forgotten about my doctor's appointment. She's supposed to be here to help come up with ideas for our bakery that's barely in the works. Nothing is set in stone, but both Calvin and Bunny recommended we know exactly what we want before I start making things official.
I've noticed Ruth take more interest in the kitchen and in baking. When I asked her if she wanted to do this with me she excitedly threw herself at me and agreed on the spot.
Calvin pecks me once more. He extends his hand for me to take and I oblige. I mouth 'sorry' to Ruth who looks surprised to see me leave.
Her wavy blonde hair seems lighter and her black dress is cute and yet sexy at the same time. Only she can do that and look as if it's casual attire.
"Bunny you can help Ruth come up with some ideas. We got to go see our baby." He leaves no room for discussion.
We head out with Calvin's hand on my lower back.
"I'm nervous." He says as he walks me out of the house and I can only agree. Forgetting that I just ditched Ruth because this is more important.
"I am too, but also excited." I smile big and his eyes cascade down to my lips.
Walking up to his Porsche SUV, he opens the door for me.
Once in the driver's side, he pulls out of the driveway and onto the road, "I promise after the baby's born, we'll go on a honeymoon."
Our wedding is next week, but the baby isn't due for another month. I smile feeling excited about our wedding, "The baby is my honeymoon."
He shakes his head already disagreeing with me, "No way. I already asked my mother and Cassi if they can watch the baby."
I look at him and extend my arm to brush some of his hair back, "I was reading online that it takes some time to recover after having a baby."
"We'll ask the doctor." He glances at me hopefully, "Maybe a month or two after."
I shrug, "I would like to get some time to get back in shape. I wouldn't want to go somewhere that requires a bikini and my rolls hang out."
He chuckles, "I'll love you and your rolls." He takes my hand and kisses the back of my hand, "We don't have to go somewhere that requires a bikini if that's what you're worried about, Little Honey Pot. We can go to Paris, Canada?"
A small smile plays on my lips, "We'll ask the doctor."
His triumphant smile is clear on his lips, "I'm going to give you the world."
And now to find out if we're having a girl or boy.
