All night I couldn't concentrate on having fun with everyone. I couldn't even talk to Elizabeth for that long because my mind would race back to what could Calvin possibly not tell me over text.

Finally riding in the car with Calvin he tells me nothing much got solved and Danielle only yelled at him for leaving her. He tried telling her to leave him alone or he'll call the cops and she kept yelling. Instead of calling the cops, he called her cousin who got her to leave with her.

He believes he has to meet with her again to communicate with her better.

That would ease up the uneasiness I've been feeling if it wasn't going on for longer than two weeks. Calvin's been less talkative and it's had me on edge lately.

I try to forget about the whole situation and look at houses online when suddenly, Cassandra's head pops into my office.

"Available for lunch?" She smiles, her blue eyes brightening up.

I meet her smile and get up, "Yeah. I need to get out of here."

She opens the door wider, "Good." I notice her light pink dress fitting her every curve and it looks fantastic.

Walking out of the office, I see Jesse talking to Lisa and he smiles when he meets his eyes with mine. Quickly linking his arm with mine he smiles, "Let's go up and get your man."

Clearing my throat, I feel my stomach drop. I don't know how to tell them that I don't want to have lunch with Calvin. They don't know what's going on.

Before I find a good excuse to get out of this, we get to the top floor and my stomach drops. I've avoided coming up here for the mere reason of finding Calvin with Danielle. He said she's spontaneous and he never knows when she's going to show up.

Nathaniel's eyes widening when he notices all three of us walking up to him should've been the first clue. Part of me still held hope, I'd be able to have lunch with him.

When Cassandra opened the door, I never suspected him to be so comfortable around her. Danielle has her heels off and her legs tucked under her while sitting on his couch, facing him. Calvin's sleeve's to his white shirt are rolled up to his elbows and he's holding a glass of scotch in his hand while his other hand is resting on the back of the couch, facing her. They seemed like they're enjoying their company.

This is definitely not what he's been telling me. This doesn't seem like he detests his time with her. I start to feel my throat tightening up.

Did I really miss all the red flags? Am I that naïve?

Calvin's eyes meet mine, sympathetically, "Baby." He stands and I hope he doesn't come to me.

I don't wait for Danielle to turn and look at me before I break down. I run the other way before Jesse stops me and before he has a chance to ask me if I'm okay I wrap my arms around him and let the tears fall.

There's a commotion inside the office and I turn to see Danielle walking out with her heels on her hand. She turns to me angrily and I can feel Jesse's grip on me tighten.

She points and presses her finger on my chest only causing Jesse to pull me back further, "I hope he realizes you trapped him with this baby, and he fucking leaves you and your stupid bastard baby. You two should be where you belong. In the fucking streets! Do you know what's funnier than you being a gold digger?... A fucking orphan."

She storms away as more tears flood my eyes. I don't know if she has any idea how her words hurt so much. The knot in my stomach has bottomed out, Calvin at one point felt comfortable enough to tell this woman about my upbringing and it makes my heart hurt.
