Allison's POV-
I slid into my seat in first period. Before long, the girl who broke my wrist sits into the desk next to me. She grins. "How's the hand?"
I hold up my cast. "Broke three carpals, dislocated one, and completely shattered two."
She cringes. "Damn. Sorry."
I smile at her. "It's totally fine. It doesn't even hurt."
Then I mentally hit myself. I don't want friends! They'll just wait till your walking in front of them, and then they'll shoot you. For some reason, though, I actually like her.
She looks sideways at me. "Ya know, I never actually caught your name, even with all the stuff that happened."
I laugh, realizing she's right. "I'm Ally."
"Savvy."
I sit for a second. "I have a question."
"Okay, shoot."
"When you first got here, and Mr. Kent introduced you as Savannah Evanston, why did you correct him and say it was Smith."
Her face darkens. "I don't talk about it."
Confused, I turn my attention to the back of my eyelids.

Savvy's POV-
The lunch bell rings, and I head outside to my usual spot. Before I get there, someone steps in my way. It's the hot boy who helped me and Ally when she broke her wrist, the one she obviously has some problems with.
"Hey," he says. His voice is attractively masculine.
"Um.. Hi?"
"Do you know Ally Ford very well?"
"You mean the girl who broke her wrist?"
"Yeah."
"Not really. We kinda just met."
"Oh. Well has she ever talked about about me?"
I look carefully at him. "Do you like her?"
He laughs. "Yeah, right. We met a couple of years ago and I was wondering if she remembered me."
"Well, dude, she remembers you." I flash back to the conversation we had while we were waiting in the nurse's office. "And she doesn't like you. AT ALL."
"Okay. Thanks. My name's Robbie. I'll see you around?" He winks at me then walks away.
I shrug then continue to my spot. As I eat, I'm glad there's only two more weeks till winter break.
