Ally's POV:
I just got back from the salon. A year ago, I dyed my hair black. I just dyed it back to its natural golden blonde color, so when it grows out you can't see any difference. I'm currently in my room, reading.
I'm reading the Gone series, by Michael Grant. It's impossible to put down. Also, it was one of the booths scheduled... No, I shake my head to get rid of the thoughts. Dwelling on it won't change anything. I focus back on the book.
A little while later, my mom walks in. "Hi, hun."
"What now?" I sigh.
"Well, if you're going to have such an attitude, I might just change my mind about what I wanted to tell you."
I don't even care, Mom. "Okay...?"
"Well, I got a call from the lady who runs Savannah's boarding house. Cynthia."
"And?"
"And... She convinced me to let you go to Bookfest."
I just look at her. "Seriously?"
"Yes. But you better keep your act up. It's in two weeks, and I might say no still." She warns.
I over exaggerate, smiling widely, sitting up straight on my bed. "Yes mother, what can I do for you?"
"Watch it."
She leaves and I grab my phone. I text Sav: my mom changed her mind and said ya to bookfest.
She texts back:
cool
