OCTOBER 31, 1989
for the first time in her life, kazenikura ho felt warmth. her first thought was that she actually made it to heaven, but she soon realised that was not the case. light blinded her, she found it difficult to move or do anything, she couldn't say anything. she let out baby noises...yes, it seemed that reincarnation came sooner that she expected. hell, she didn't even think it existed. but what surprised her the most, she that she could remember everything.
at first, she cussed everyone out in her mind. she was a baby with a twenty six year olds mind...and knowledge.
she was actually afraid, that despite being reincarnated, everything will be the same as it was in her previous life. but that idea vanished quickly, when she realised that there were no voices in her mind, telling her to kill. she felt no darkness inside of her. she felt...light. and so she actually ended up enjoying being a baby, despite not being able to do anything.
she also thanked the gods that she woke up after being born. she couldn't image how she would've grown up if the trauma of childbirth followed her everywhere.
"waka, come here." her mother's soft voice filled the room, filling the little girl with warmth once more. her mother seemed to be an incredibly nice woman. something she didn't have in her previous life. ho looked around the room curiously, trying to see this 'waka' that her mother called for. maybe it's her father?
but to her surprise, a small boy rushed to the side of the bed, his beautiful lilac eyes glowing in curiosity. "waka, meet imaushi hoshiko, your baby sister."
"she's ugly."
'excuse you, you fuck waffle! get some manners!'
her mother bursts out laughing, once more filling hoshiko with warmth and calming the raging baby down. "everyone always say how beautiful their babies are...but i've never met a pretty newborn. but you were like this too, you know, and look at you now! such a handsome little prince!"
'ayo, she's spitting facts. and he is pretty...'
"hoshiko will grow up to be a pretty princess as well. so look after her, okay?" the boy nods, staring at the newborn in determination. "do you want to hold her?"
"can i?"
'no. you called me ugly.'
"of course! here, sit down." she hands the girl over carefully and watches with a soft smile as the boy panics, afraid he'll accidentally drop her. the girl debated on starting to cry, but decided against it. "slide one hand under her head and neck and the other under her back." the boy does it right, making hoshiko actually feel comfortable. on top of that, she found his presence calming, so she closed her eyes, feeling sleepy all of a sudden. "aww, look at the two siblings!"
