everything was different

everything was different. no one left her alone, as she laid in the hospital bed, asleep. there was always someone by her side, even at night. her whole body was bandaged up, both from the wounds she received at the race and the wounds she inflicted on herself. they didn't know what to expect from her when she wakes up. but whatever her reaction may be, it won't be pretty. because even as she sleeps, she doesn't look peaceful. even in sleep...

she's still suffering.

people brought all kinds of things as they came to visit or watch over her. every corner of the room was filled with flowers, snacks and other little gifts.
as if she was sick.

"they're all idiots." haruto says as he plops down on the chair. haruchiyo walks past the bed and leans on the windowsill. none of them brought gifts. they didn't bring anything. "they bring gifts as if she's sick. hell, i even see a get-well-soon card."

"that definitely won't put her in a good mood." the light haired boy takes off his face mask, knowing that the girl dislikes it when he's hiding his face.

she had been unconscious for days...and today was the day of isamu's funeral. everyone was there...except for three out of four original members of the 0th division. haruto knew that isamu would've wanted him to stick by hoshiko's side no matter what. after all, he did promise to protect her. and haruchiyo? he wasn't taking isamu's death well at all. he hadn't even went home after the painful hospital visit.
