"Seriously?" Scabior blurted out as he moved closer towards her, "Did we not learn from last time what happens when you leave that cabin? We brought you a peace offering for hurting you and you're trying to run away."
She lowered her eyes to see under Scabior's arm was a rolled up pearl-white dress. Hermione shook her head.
"A new dress? That is what you think would make me just forgive you for turning me into a beast? Are you mad?" Hermione asked, rage filling her voice. Fenrir growled as he stormed over towards her in a blink of an eye, grabbing hold of her forearm.
"You are now a werewolf. You better fucking show some damn respect or I'll burn it into your skull." He threatened while he ran the tip of his finger over her eyebrow. Hermione turned her head away from his touch as she watched Scabior walking over to them with the dress held out for her.
"You better get dressed. You wouldn't want to go to a meeting looking like crap, do you?" Scabior asked her. Hermione kept her glare on him as she tried to turn when Fenrir pulled her back towards him.
"You'll get dress here." he told her.
"I beg your pardon?" Hermione asked in disbelief.
"If you hadn't tried to make a run for it, maybe you would be dressing in a warm room instead of out in the middle of nowhere in the cold." Scabior mocked her. Not wanting them to get a reaction out of her, she slammed the dress into Fenrir's chest before she started to strip from her dress. She let it slip to her feet as she stepped out of it. She could feel their eyes moving up and down on her as Scabior whistled at her. She quickly grabbed the dress from Fenrir and put it on her as quickly as possible. Once she pushed her hair back behind her shoulders, she felt Fenrir and Scabior grabbing hold of her arms.
"Lets get this over with shall we?" Fenrir asked as they began to storm off in a random direction. Hermione tried to pull away so she could walk by herself, but they didn't give her a change.
They walked for about a mile and a half when they reached an opening that had tons of people, who were in fact werewolves. You could tell by their clothing that they were from a different pack. There seemed to be about four pack plus people who appear like they were a bit higher, like judges from the Ministry but without the hats and their robes were black with white stripes and badges in the shape of wolf paws in different colors of yellow, blue and green, that stood in front of everyone. Then there was one who really stood out. It was an older woman in a lovely white fur coat that seemed to be extremely big on her. Some of the elders helped her from it and she wore something similar to the Elder's cloaks but her robe was white with black stripes and her badge was red.
"All bow for the Alpha of All Alphas, Artemis." One of the elders ordered. On cue, everyone (including Hermione) bowed their heads.
"Please be seated." She spoked in a voice the demanded to be respected. Everyone did exactly as they were told and sat down on the ground. Hermione sat behind Scabior and Fenrir while she surrounded by other betas of the pack.
"Alright, before we begin, we are taking a head count. Do I have the Alpha Dominic?" She called out.
"Present," A male who looked older than Fenrir answered.
"Alpha Julian?"
"Here," Another male, younger than the first answered.
"Alpha Malachi?"
"Present," Another man, who appeared in between the ages of the first and second person.
"Alpha Lyle?" She called out. But no one answered. Everyone turned to each other and began mumbling about something of how Lyle would have been on time. Artemis turned to her Elders as they shook their heads mumbling something like 'something must have delayed him'. She cleared her throat.
"Moving on, Alpha Fenrir?" she called out.
"Here," Fenrir replied. The woman nodded her head.
"Since most of us are here, I suggest we get this meeting started. As we all know, the Dark Lord has sadly won. Given he promised better lives for the Werewolf Packs, a lot of you aided in his win. However, this turns out to be a lie." The woman told. Everyone's attention moved towards Fenrir and Scabior and the real talk began. Hermione couldn't help but laugh as she glared at the back of their heads. Artemis gazed over the crowd before screaming,
"Settle down, sett down. I don't care who did it or didn't do it, we are werewolves. We stick together! End of story!" She stated, "And as such, this meeting is to bring alertness to the packs. Death Eaters and Non-Werewolf Snatchers have been spotted in our woods. They claim they are after members of the Orders, who run away, but we can see through their lies. They are trying to wipe us out because we are Half-Breeds. During this time, it is wise we all worked together than apart till this insanity is over."
This caused the packs to rise from their seats and begin arguing and complaining about this situation. They pointed fingers towards other people and were blaming everyone. Hermione was astounded. She couldn't believe they were behaving this way. The crowd suddenly became quiet when something flung in the midst of them. Hermione looked downward and gasped. In the middle of them, there was a corpse that was too torn apart to tell who it was. Someone walk through the crowds, who made everyone move away the from the person but Hermione couldn't see who it was.
"Alpha Lyle, what happened?" Artemis asked. The man panted before mumbling,
"Death Eaters."
