The traptanium crystal containing the King of Chaos' essence was inserted into the cell's port. A metal table and chairs were placed in the cell too, three chairs on one side and one isolated on the other.

Jet Vac flipped a switch and the traptanium field was activated within the cell, stifling any forces of magic. The three Skylanders then stepped through the barrier and into the cell.

A tingling sensation ran over Spyro's body as he felt himself being cut off from the arcane. He knew at that moment if he chose to forge a fireball, it wouldn't work. Traptanium was weird like that. No one quite understood how it was able to do what it did or even the full extent of what it could do.

When it was first discovered by the Skylanders, they had found its ability to trap beings' essences in a state of limbo. Mind, body, and soul would all be taken into them to be stored until a later time. The Skylanders began using this as a way to capture villains. Soon after, it was also found that traptanium could be forged into a cell that could block out the arcane and serve as the ultimate prison. And when the core of light was focused on it, it could do wondrous things.

And so, Cloudcracker prison was created. Eighteen jailers were selected from the Skylanders and each was given weapons forged from traptanium. They were called the Trap Team. These weapons were capable of working with their owners in incredible ways, melding to their fighting methods and personalities. No one knew quite why that happened. Spyro was sure research was still being conducted on the rare crystals, but there probably wasn't a lot of progress being made.

Not that Spyro really cared. They helped catch bad guys, that was all that mattered.

Spyro remained back towards the edge of the cell and positioned himself up against the wall, trying to look as calm and confident as he could to hide the fact that his mind was buzzing with potential reasons the villain wanted to see him.

Eruptor pulled out one of the three seats and sat down while Jet Vac made his way to the cell port and activated it. In the lone chair across the table, a shimmering image began to form before slowly taking on more shape. The image began to become more and more clear until the King of Chaos was sitting there.

Seeing him in person, Spyro understood where the inspiration for his markings came from. The King of Chaos was, in fact, a wolfman.

He was wearing a brightly colored outfit complete with a gold lined purple tunic and a dark pink cape draped over his shoulders. A golden crown rested atop his brown furred head in a lopsided position.

He sat like there wasn't a care in the world, almost like he wasn't even in an interrogation room but at a bar with three old friends. His pointed white teeth were bared in a friendly grin, but his eyes would glance over the three of them with no touch of such friendliness.

He took the three Skylanders in for a second before closing his eyes and taking in a deep breath. He leaned back in his chair and propped his feet upon the table. His crown fell down a bit, covering his eyes.

Eruptor shared a glance with Jet Vac before starting to ask, "Are you..."

"It's good to finally meet you, Spyro." The King of Chaos interrupted. He sounded like he was telling a joke, but he was the only one in on it. "I've read your books, they're quite... beguiling."

"I didn't realize we were dealing with a fan boy," Spyro quipped in his most nonchalant voice. "If you brought a book, I'd be happy to sign it for you. I assume I'd just make it out to megalomaniacal murderer?"

The King's smile spread even wider as he pushed the crown back on his head to get a good look at Spyro. His cold eyes held a spark of joy now.

"It's good to know you and your character are actually quite similar." He said. "I was really hoping you weren't just embellishing. There's liars aplenty in the world already."
