Tori had just finished her last class of the day. With a coffee in hand, she walked to the music room to wait for Jade so they could practise the song they were going to duet at the slumber party which was in a week. Tori got to the room and took a seat by the keyboard. She put her coffee down and sighed.

It had been five days since Anthony had instructed the both of them to do the duet and they couldn't agree on a single song together. Every time either of them brought up a song, they started bickering and got nowhere. Tori was just hoping that today wouldn't be like that.

She was already having so much trouble trying to look at Jade. Now she had to be in an air-conditioned room alone with the girl to sing with her? Tori crossed her fingers that nothing out of the ordinary would happen.

She was playing with the keys on the keyboard for a few minutes before Jade walked in.

"Hey."

Tori turned around in the spinny chair and smiled at Jade. The dark-haired girl dropped her bag on the floor and walked over to Tori. She put her hands on the back of the spinny chair and spun it hard once. She backed away and laughed as Tori screamed for the spinning to stop.

When the chair had slowed down, Tori stood up shakily and took a step toward Jade before her legs gave out from the dizziness and she fell to the ground. Jade grinned and helped her up. She sat Tori back down on the chair and pulled a stool up to sit next to her.

"So, what are we singing?"

Tori opened her mouth to say something but Jade cut her off by saying, "No Taylor Swift."

"But why not?," Tori whined and Jade groaned.

"Because I would rather someone drop a piano on my foot."

Tori narrowed her eyes at Jade.

"You haven't even listened to her music."

Jade rolled her eyes. The pair of them fell silent for a few moments before Tori sighed.

"Fine. No Taylor Swift. But you gotta promise me that after we sing a song that you like, you're gonna let me play you Taylor Swift."

"It's a date."

Tori's cheeks reddened at that.

"So, what d'you have in mind then?"

Jade thought for a moment. "What about She by Harry Styles?"

For once, Tori didn't think it was such a bad song choice. She raised an eyebrow at Jade and searched up the song. She connected her phone to the speakers in the room and let the song play. She set her phone down and twirled around in her spinny chair a little when her eyes landed on Jade.

The dark-haired girl had her eyes shut, mouthing the words. Tori smiled at the sight. She started singing the second half of the first verse and Jade joined in. The song had this powerful aura about it; it was a strong melody. Everything about it screamed Jade.

The pair were really getting into the song, losing themselves in the music. The tune was intoxicating. They got up and started walking toward each other while singing, smiling and letting loose as the music washed over them.

She lives in daydreams with me...

When they had finally gotten close enough to each other, Jade suddenly wrapped an arm around Tori's waist and pulled her in.

"Dance with me, Vega," she exclaimed.

Tori giggled, stumbling, and wrapped her arms around Jade's neck. They swayed together to the music, singing dramatically into each other's faces and laughing. They laughed, stopping to look at each other for a second. The teal-blue and brown gazes melded together, breathing life into each other.
