"You fucking suck at this game, Vega."
"How do you expect me to get the grape in your mouth with my eyes shut?! No one can do this," the brunette whined, resorting to pelting Jade with grapes instead.
The raven-haired girl shielded herself with one of the throw pillows on Tori's couch, chuckling lightly. She kneel-walked closer to Tori on the couch and pulled the bowl of grapes out of her grasp with a smirk and a raised eyebrow. She returned to her original position and picked up a grape.
"If I get this in your mouth on the first try, you're paying for our next meal."
"Oh you are so on, West."
Tori leaned back and opened her mouth, a challenging look in her eye. Jade screwed her eyes shut and took a deep breath before aiming blindly and letting the grape fly. She figured she had gotten it in and was about to gloat when she heard-
"Ow!"
Her eyes snapped open and she saw the brunette clutching her eye and groaning slightly. Alarmed, Jade moved closer and held Tori's face so she could inspect the hurt eye.
"Shit, Tori are you ok-WOAH!"
Jade exclaimed as Tori pulled her wrist and made her lose her balance so she tumbled onto the brunette. Jade was laying on top of her now and the pair were laughing hysterically as she propped herself up on her palms over Tori.
"You idiot!"
"Got you."
It was just then that they realized exactly what position they were laying in and Tori suddenly seemed so small beneath Jade. The goth took the opportunity to tuck a stray strand of hair behind Tori's ear, her fingers caressing the brunette's cheek lightly as she did so. Tori smiled.
The pair forgot what it is they were doing before and were stuck in that position for ten seconds before the doorbell rung and Jade nearly collapsed on top of Tori. She rolled off of the brunette and onto the carpet and buried her face in it to hide the blush creeping onto her cheeks.
Tori practically sprinted over to the door and pulled it open to see Beck standing there with a bouquet of flowers in hand. Jade sat up after dusting herself off and her face fell upon seeing who it was at the door. Beck must have seen her reaction as he stepped in because he raised a brow at her.
"Hey, babe," he whispered and leaned over to kiss Tori on the cheek while handing her the bouquet.
Jade watched bemusedly at the way Tori looked beyond uncomfortable with the simple act of affection. Tori smiled awkwardly at Beck and gestured for him to come inside before shutting the door behind him. She glanced at the flowers in her hand and headed to the kitchen to get a vase.
Jade watched Beck eye the whole place and then pick up a pillow and something about that sequence of actions made Jade's eye twitch. She rolled her eyes and picked her bag up. She headed toward Tori and squeezed her shoulder lightly, shaking the brunette out of her reverie.
"I better make a move first."
Tori's face fell. "But we haven't chosen all our songs yet! We decided on one and that took like 3 hours, who knows how long it'll take us to choose the other two?"
Jade grinned and put her hand on Tori's. "I don't wanna watch you make out with your boyfriend, Tori. And the event is in three weeks. Tell you what, we can choose the next two songs before our movie night tomorrow."
"We're having a movie night tomorrow?"
"Now we are."
Tori smiled. She put the vase down and walked Jade to the door. She held the door open and watched the raven-haired girl get into her car and give a little honk before driving off. She tried not to pay too much attention to the way Jade's ringed fingers wrapped around the steering wheel but she was never great at controlling herself.
