EPILOGUE

ACE's POV

"Princess, we need to clean up now because Mommy's on her way home and she's gonna be mad at us when she sees this mess," I told my four-year-old daughter who's sitting on the floor playing with her barbie dolls.

"No Daddy! I want to play longer!"

I let out a sigh before sitting in front of her, I made her look at me "Astrid, you still have tomorrow to play, we don't want to upset Momma right?"

"But Daddy"

"I promise that we'll play longer tomorrow"

"Okay fine," she said and she even pouted, she started cleaning and putting her toys back to her playroom, dito kasi siya naglalaro sa hallway kanina.

I and my wife agreed to not get maids because we want to take care of our children ourselves, Adi wants to do the things like cooking, bathing and putting our children to bed, hindi naman kasi siya palagi pumupunta sa restaurant kaya madalas ay nandito siya sa bahay inaalagaan ang mga anak namin habang ako naman ay nasa trabaho, may pumupunta naman sa bahay linggo-linggo para mag-linis.

I was just watching Astrid clean her toys, she couldn't carry her dollhouse inside the playroom because it's as big as her so I need to do it for her.

"Continue cleaning baby, I'm just gonna go to your sister, okay?" sabi ko ng marinig ko ang anak namin na umiiyak sa kabilang kwarto.

She just nodded and continued what she was doing while I head to the nursery to check on Astrea, our five-month-old baby girl.

The nursery is dark because I closed the curtain earlier and turned off the lights because she's sleeping. I turned on the lights and walk towards the crib.

"Shh, Daddy's here my little princess," I said before carrying her. I rock her in my arms to make her stop crying, as soon as she stopped crying, Astrid entered the room.

"Is she awake Daddy?" Astrid asked and I nodded before I sat on the chair so she can see her little sister, "Can I kiss her Daddy?" she asked.

"You can kiss her hand Princess," I said.

She leans towards her sister and kisses her little hand.

"Daddy, I want to eat na, my tummy's rumbling already"

"Okay Princess, let's go to the kitchen"

Nag-tungo na kami sa kusina, nang makarating kami duon ay iniupo ko si Astrea sa high chair niya at binuhat ko naman si Astrid para paupuin sa upuan bago ako nag-tungo sa ref para kunin yung tray na hinanda ni Adi.

I saw that it was all vegetables, Astrid will hate this. Adi's teaching Astrid to eat vegetables but I always feel bad for her because sometimes she's crying while eating it, hindi ko kaya na umiiyak ang anak ko, hanggat kaya ko ay ibinibigay ko ang gusto nila pero sabi ni Adi ay hindi daw pwede na ganon dahil kailangan din matuto ng mga anak namin.

She's the bad cop and I'm the good cop because I spoil Astrid while she was growing up and I can't promise that I will not spoil Astrea. Hindi ko kayang tiisin ang mga anak ko.

I opened the freezer to get the pork chop, hindi naman siguro magagalit si Adi kung hahaluan ko ng karne yung chop suey, Astrid's allergic to prawns kaya puro gulay lang ang chop suey na niluluto ni Adi, walang halong karne, gulay lang talaga.

I started cooking.

Habang hinihintay ko na maluto yung ulam ay pumunta ako sa dining para tignan sila, Astrea is biting on her teether and Astrid already have her pencil and colours scatered on the dining table, she's drawing.
