On the fifth day after Mehr's arrival in Delhi, Tahir was discharged. He was still very weak and needed utmost care at home.

"Do you remember Daniyal?" Faiza asked Mehr.

They both were spending time in the huge living room of their haveli. Mahad had gone to the office, and Tahir was sleeping.

Faiza was eating some roasted dry fruits, while Mehr was lying on the couch with her phone.

"Who Daniyal?" Mehr asked without taking her eyes off the phone.

"Sajid and Rukhsaar's son."

Mehr remembered that Sajid Uncle was her father's business associate and his son was a classmate of hers.

"Yeah, Daniyal. He was in my class." Mehr replied casually.

"He has taken over his dad's business and is doing really good for himself. Rukhsaar met me a few weeks ago at a party. She said they're looking for a good match for him." Faiza suggestively said while popping an almond in her mouth.

Mehr sighed and looked towards her mother. "Ammi, don't even think about it."

"Why? What is wrong with it? He's good-looking, successful, belongs to a nice family and most importantly, he's of the same social status as us. He would take care of all your needs." Faiza pointed it out to her.

"Money isn't everything." Mehr replied and got to her feet.

Faiza questioned, "Where are you going?"

"To the kitchen. I need water." Mehr nonchalantly said.

"Why are you going? I'll just ask someone to get it." Faiza started to call for a maid, but Mehr stopped her.

"Ammi, it is just water. I can get it myself. Don't trouble the maids." With that, Mehr strutted off.

Faiza kept sitting there, stunned. This was not the Mehr she had raised for so many years. Ever since Mehr had come back, Faiza had noticed changes in her. She had stopped ordering the servants around, never got angry anymore, and had no demands or complaints. Faiza thought that maybe it was because they were in the hospital, but Mehr's behavior remained the same even after coming home. And Faiza wasn't sure if she liked this change in her daughter or not.
