After thinking a lot, Mehr decided that she'd not go to Mumbai. She'd not go away from her family and Arsalaan. Her love wasn't so weak. She'd stay back and make herself a better human so that he would fall in love with her.
But her plans came crashing down when an invitation from the Zaidi's arrived. Invitation of Arsalaan's engagement.
"Did you know about this?" Mehr barged into her brother's room.
Mahad, who had just gotten off the phone with Arsalaan, spoke, "I swear I didn't. Arsal just told me."
"He's your best friend. How could you not know?" Mehr screamed.
"It all happened too fast. They met a few weeks ago, fell in love and now they're getting married." Mahad informed her.
Fell in love, that's all Mehr heard.
"Is it a love marriage?" She asked with her voice breaking, as well as her heart.
Mahad sighed, and nodded.
She turned her heels and walked straight towards the garage. Getting in her red Mercedes, she dashed it out of the haveli, and didn't stop until she had reached the Zaidi Mansion.
She got out of the car and went straight to Arsalaan's room. Not having the patience to knock, she banged the door open. Arsalaan, who was working on his laptop, looked up and frowned. "Mehr, what are you doing here?"
She walked closer to him, and he got up from his bed as well.
"Why are you doing this to me?" Her voice was trembling.
He understood what she was trying to say, but pretended to be unaware. "What are you talking about?"
"Don't act, Arsalaan." Her tears started to fall down from her eyes. "You know I love you, you know it. And yet you're marrying someone else."
Arsalaan took a deep breath and stayed quiet.
"Answer me, damnit." She shouted at him while crying.
"What do you want me to say? Yes, I know that you love me but that doesn't mean I love you back. Why can't you see that I'm not interested in you? Are you that dumb?" He got angry as well. He was so tired of her.
She sobbed loudly. "Arsal, don't do this please. I will change myself the way you like. I'd do everything you want me to. But please don't marry her."
