Fingers clamped tightly to my phone
Breathe, breathe.
White knuckles, shaking hands
breathe, breathe.
Too many people, I feel them stare
breathe, breathe.
Try to look normal, put on a poker face
breathe, breathe.
Too many voices, loud and muffled
breathe, breathe.
Surely my heart can't beat this fast
breathe, breathe.
Tingling fingertips, adrenaline 100 miles per second.
breathe, breathe.
A voice playing "run run run!" Pounds in my ears.
breathe, breathe.
Forget the groceries, keep your head down and leave
breathe, breathe.
Walk quickly out
breathe, breathe.
Try again tomorrow,
breathe, breathe.
