In April they noticed
She didn't sing along with her music anymore
In July they noticed
She didn't hum to the tune
Or tap her foot anymore
In September they noticed
She didn't mouth all the lyrics
Or have the volume up anymore
And in December they noticed
She didn't listen to music at all anymore
Because the beats that used to save her
Couldn't anymore
And that's when they knew
No one ever could
