I wanna go to the beach
At night
And stand on the shore and let
The waves dive in past my feet
Kissing the shore
Like you kissed me
And then running away back to sea
Just like you ran away
It takes the sand around my toes
With it
And I'll sink lower each time
Isn't it strange
How this is such a calming feeling
But when it happens in love
It's exhausting?
You start out on the surface, but
As comments and situations
"Kiss you" and then leave
They leave you sinking further and
Further
Until you're stuck
I hate when this happens to me
But I still find myself
Drawn to the place
Where the sea
Kisses
The sand
