Lexa
Cautiously I walked down the steps with my sword drawn. Between the flickering lights I could make out the disarray of the hall. Dust and other stains covered the floor. The hall was meant to continue on either way however one side was barricaded. "Woah" Raven mumbled coming down the steps with the others.
At the barricade I examined what it was made out of. Mostly metal beds and rock. "This definitely wasn't here before" Clarke frowned looking at the barricade.
"Why would anyone block the doorway?" Madi asked looking up at Clarke.
She sighed turning away from the barricade, "I don't know maybe to keep someone out."
"Or to keep someone in" I added thoughtfully. There was only one way we could go so I headed that way.
Emori and Murphy were squatting near a stain on the floor. He brushed some of the dust off the stain. "What is it?" he questioned.
I stopped next to them to glance at it closer, "its blood."
"But it's brown" Emori squinted at the large puddle size stain.
"It has to be a few years old" I told her. The first impression of the bunker isn't good. Hopefully this doesn't continue past here. I'm trying not to let myself worry about Freya. If this is the state of the rest of the bunker I pray she wasn't effected. Bellamy was already looking around the corner when I approached. "What do you see?" I asked him.
He shook his head and turned to me, "It's lit a little better but looks worse."
Grunting quietly I looked back at the others. Everyone was looking unsure and afraid. "We will have to keep moving until we find them" I directed. Bellamy and I shared a look silently agreeing to take the lead.
"What if they're all dead? What do we do then?" Harper spoke up to ask before we got into position. Monty rubbed her back and whispered something in her ear.
"They won't be, now let's go" Bellamy stated confidently.
The two of us stepped around the corner first. With Madi and Clarke directly following me I raised my sword. The light in the hall was almost burnt out but was not flickering as bad as the entrance. The further we continued the more the dust lessened. Where the dust disappeared blood stains appeared. Whether it was sizable puddles or splattered on the walls.
As we rounded the corner Bellamy stepped a foot ahead of me. The only sound heard was the sound of our group slowly walking. Except as Bellamy stepped around the corner I heard a click. "Get back!" I shouted yanking the back of his jacket. Throwing him and myself backwards I managed to knock Madi and Clarke out of the way also.
As soon as Bellamy moved two spears shot from the ceiling, stabbing into the floor where he had stood. "Are you alright?" Clarke asked first checking that Madi was out of harms way then looking at Bellamy. The youngest gave her a small nod.
Bellamy got to his feet once his shock cleared, "I'm good."
Murphy held his hand out to me in offering. When I looked at him I was reminded of her. Freya always liked his friendship. I took his hand and allowed him to pull me up. He gave me a nod and returned to Emori. Quickly I helped Madi off the floor. Clarke moved to stand with the group that gathered around the spears. "Stay close to me or Clarke, got it?" I bent down to her height.
"I will" she was fast to agree. In our eight years together she's never been in a situation like this and when we found her she was only five years old. Truthfully I do not know what her life was like before the melt down because she should have been in polis. Instead her parents hid her away from her birth right to train for conclave.
