Aden

"I found Andi here a handful of times. This has to be what she was talking about" I said, pointing my sword to the end of the hall. Andi had some sort of infatuation with the room for a while. I brought her back to Freya the first time I found her here, she didn't talk to me for a week afterwards.

"I don't know how you guys find anything, its like a maze down here" one of Clarkes companions said.

Speed walking the rest of the way, I tried to think of how Heda would handle this situation. For starters she wouldn't have run from the responsibility. My grip tightened around my sword out of annoyance. I shouldn't have run from it. If a commander was in charge of the bunker the coalition would still be alive. I trained for this my whole life.

Just before I stepped into the open the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Instinctively I froze and held my hand out to warn the others. One of them got a hand slapped over their mouth by another. I tilted my head to listen. Footsteps coming from the right. And fainter from the left.

It was now or never. "Stop where you are" I stepped out to head off the mob. My voice boomed off the walls. They were Wonkru. My surprise had them fall back into fighting stances.

At the front where people formerly apart of Skaikru, people familiar with technology. It was pure luck we made it to the comms before they did. "Its the assassin" the call carried through to the back of their mob.

"I have taken control of the communications. Count yourselves lucky that I am not here to engage in battle with you and move on" I told them. It was a bluff. While I would certainly take a number of them with me I was vastly out numbered. Rumors of the Trikovakru assassin spread wildly and I was relying on that fear.

A lightly blood splattered woman held her head high but didn't step out from their line. "Even if you have the assassin in your ranks there are six of you and we are fifty strong" she said. Warriors around her nodded to show their support.

"Is this really how you want things to end? After all this time? Because the first person I shoot is you" Bellamy told her sternly. From the corner of my eye I could see his gun aimed at her. "Then you and you and you" he continued.

"You don't have enough bullets for all of us" a man glared.

Another banged his fist on his chest, "You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru."

"There does not have to be division between clans anymore" I snapped, glaring at those in the front row.

"Your people deserted Wonkru. Trikovakru caused this" the woman dared to step forward and take her sword in both hands.

Narrowing my eyes at her I raised my sword ready to meet hers. "That's enough, Aden. We'll take it from here" An eerily familiar voice called out with a fleet of footsteps following her.

I twisted to the side to keep some sort of visual over both groups. "Indra? Gaia?" I questioned. Accompanying them was a large mixed group of warriors. Many I recognized as Trikovakru and others had the broken mark of Wonkru pained on their cheeks.

The general shielded our flamekeeper. "Enter the room, Aden. We will hold them off" Indra seethed, glaring past me. Suddenly she was the woman I remembered from Polis watching heda train with me. She was no longer the right hand to Blodreina.

Clarke was the first to move towards the door. An arrow shot into the wall, missing her by a hair.

"Fire!" Indra ordered, throwing her arm in a lofting motion. What followed was the snap of easily thirty bow strings as they let their arrows fly.

"Come on, inside!" I yanked the door open and jumped behind the metal as Wonkru let their arrows for me go. A barrage of thuds sounded through the metal as they tried to shoot me. Clarke threw Madi ahead of her. The others pushed each other through the doorway. "Bellamy watch the door" I slammed it closed after him.
