I waved my hand to dismiss court and watched as everyone filed out of the room after bowing respectfully. Once the room was clear I turned to Titus, "What is there left to do?"

He held his hands together in his sleeves. "The last of the day is clear. There are no other meetings until tomorrow morning" he said.

"Great, you are excused" I said standing up from my throne. All day in the back of my mind I've wondered what Freya was doing. If she was settling in well. I walked down the two steps and headed for the doors.

"Heda, if I may?" Titus called already a few paces behind me.

As I turned to look at him I studied him. "What is it, Titus?" I asked. His stoic expression was now set in a frown.

"You're involvement with that sky girl will only do harm" he said.

I scowled at him, "she is of Trikru now, I am simply ensuring she becomes accustom to our ways." The last thing I needed was a lecture from my flamekeeper. I care about Freya and I'm willing to deal with the backlash if it ever comes.

Titus shook his head at what I said. "Heda, she will only distract you from your duties, exposing you to weaknesses" he continued.

"Enough" I bit out. Clenching my fists I turned away from the man. "I will hear no more of this" I said leaving the throne room. The guards stepped out of my way upon seeing the mood I have been put in. Stepping off to the side of the hall I took a moment to calm myself. He may be my flamekeeper and advisor but I won't deny the way I feel about her. She made me feel a joyfulness that I haven't felt in a long while.

I knocked on Freya's door but heard no response. Knocking again I cracked open the door to look inside. "Freya, are you in here?" I called out. Her room was empty. Walking over to her table I noticed her sword was here but her dagger was not. Perhaps she's down at the market.

On the elevator I tried to further relax the tension from my shoulders. I nodded to the guards at the bottom of the tower. Resting my hands behind my back I strolled through the market, keeping an eye out for the dark haired beauty. Several people greeted me and tried to offer me things which I politely declined. I saw her no where at any of the stands.

Sighing I deciding I will have to try to find her this evening in her room. I changed course to head to the stable. It isn't often I get to spend time with my horse outside of traveling. As I entered I looked for the stablehand that should be working. But they weren't near any of the stalls. So I picked up a brush and stepped into the stall with my horse.

I brushed his hair carefully for a long while. It helped me relax further and to forget about Titus' judgements. Feeding him an apple I stepped out of the stall. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed the stablehand out back.

As I got closer I saw him pointing at something. I controlled the smile that tried to come to my face when I saw what he was pointing at. In the small fenced pasture Freya nodded at what he gestured to and messed with the stirrup on the horses saddle. "Good afternoon, Heda" the stablehand stood up from where he was leaning on the fence.

"Hello, I will finish here. You may take a break" I said.

He smiled nodding gratefully, "Mochof." He quickly turned and left.

Freya raised her foot to attempt to put it in the stirrup but the horse decided to walk away at the last second. She stumbled and let out a groan. Then she jogged after the horse to grab its reins. "Oh" she noticed me watching her from the fence. She dropped the reins and ran a hand through her messy hair. "I thought you were in meetings all day" she said.
